Leviticus 26:46 27:30-34
The Third Book of Moses Called
LEVITICUS
LEVITICUS is God’s guidebook for His newly redeemed people, showing them how to worship, serve, and obey a holy God. Fellowship with God through sacrifice and obedience show the awesome holiness of the God of Israel. Indeed, “ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy’” (19:2).
Leviticus focuses on the worship and walk of the nation of God. In Exodus, Israel was redeemed and established as a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Leviticus shows how God’s people are to fulfill their priestly calling.
The Hebrew title is Wayyiqra, “And He Called.” The Talmud refers to Leviticus as the “Law of the Priests,” and the “Law of the Offerings.” The Greek title appearing in the Septuagint is Jeuitikon, “That Which Pertains to the Levities.” From this word, the Latin Vulgate derived its name Leviticus which was adopted as the English title. This title is slightly misleading because the book does not deal with the Levites as a whole but more with the priests, a segment of the Levites.
Why was this book written?
Leviticus shows the Israelites how to worship God and live a holy life.
What happens in this book?
Moses gives the people and the priests of Israel God’s instructions.
The name of this book means “pertaining to the Levites.” Exodus and Leviticus were guidebooks for the priests in their ministry. Israel today has neither priesthood nor temple, so the nation cannot obey these laws. (Hos. 3:4), but Leviticus has great value to the Christian. It illustrates the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ and stresses the importance of a life of separation and obedience.
Leviticus 27 VOWS AND TITHES TO THE LORD
Leviticus 26:46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
After I read all of the chapters of Lev. 26 and 27, the Holy Spirit taught me this:
(:3-:8)People were offered as were (9-13)beasts. If the offering of beast was unclean, then it was exchanged and a fifth part was added on.
(14-15)If a house was offered but redeemed, then a fifth part was added onto it and then the house could be kept by the person.
(16-25)For a field, the estimation was according to the seed like of barley it would then be $50 shekels of silver. If it was to be redeemed, a fifth was added on. If it was Jubilee, then it stood, but if not Jubilee, then given back.
(26) Firstlings of beasts could not be sanctified whether it be ox or sheep, it is the Lords. If it is an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to the estimation and shall add a fifth part of it.
(28) Man, beast and field can be redeemed, but offering of person can not be redeemed, but put to death.
29None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
30And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD.
31And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
32And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.
33He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
34 These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai
(did you ever hear any of this preached in a church from a 'Pastor'?)

Nope, they ususally don't teach or preach it correctly. If they did, people would find out the truth and not tithe anymore. No where in the NT does it say we are to give 10% (tithing) to the church. OT tithe was in no way how it is taught and pracited in the churches today. We are to Give as is purposed in our hearts to give. No set amount. No requirement for membership. Not robbing God, and we won't be cursed yet still blessed if we Give as we are purposed in our hearts to Give.
So many things are done in the churches that they lie about and say it's truth. Just like the word Pastor. It is to be a deacon, bishop or elder. They can pastor, teach, preach. One, two or all three and do other things too but not put the word Pastor in front of their name. No one did that in the bible. And women are not to be called Pastor or have leadership type roles like the elder, bishop and deacon. Women can teach and preach, but not pastor. Where do they get these false ideas from and why not just practice bible truth? I just don't get it. Such a waste of money. So much more could be going to the poor. And what about poor people. I wouldn't doubt if 'tithing' keeps many poor people from 'church'.
It's just not the 'church' that Jesus built out there. Sure some good things are done, some good works by Christians, but still not a biblical system. It's more like a Christian charity or organization or club. Why not just call it that. Theny anyone can be called what they want and call giving something other than giving and put a set amount on it for membership. Then they won't be 'robbing' anyone and won't be 'cursed'. But not the Church. Jesus' Church is no where how these organizations are today.
Very sad.
Truth is truth and Lies are Lies.
I choose truth.
I choose Jesus' Church, not man's church with 'Tithing' and 'Pastors'. Both are not biblical bible practices or commandments or truth or requirement. Just tradtions of man that Jesus warned about. And false doctrines that He warned about too.

Many churches teach that tithing 10% of one's income to the church is a part of obedience to God and a requirement in the New Testament, as well as the Old Testament.
They love to quote Malachi 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me, but you say, wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings."
The truth is that when anyone does an in-depth study of the tithing issue, it will be found that the concept of "tithing" is very misunderstood, even from an Old Testament perspective. Many different authors have presented in-depth studies on tithing, covering all the issues in both the Old and New Testaments.
While preachers love to make Christians think that "tithing" represents 10% of one's "income", it is easy to prove that in fact, tithes in the Old Testament involved several tithes, used for different purposes and that tithing is not at all what Christians have been led to believe.
