| ONE YEAR BIBLE ONLINE-Daily reading plan-very good! |
|
| |
4:1 I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4:4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
I read the One Year Bible format every day. I also read more of the bible when I get a chance and do study any chance I get. I have a large family with much to do. I keep the One Year Bible in my van along with a regular Bible. I get a chance to read when waiting on my teenage daughter who is in many activities. The One Year Bible is also on line.
I will read it sometimes. I prefer the KJV but on line it does not have the italicized words. I also listen to the Bible on Radio, but it is not the KJV, but I will still listen and re read the KJV later. It’s just a great way to get allof the bible in each year. We will grow more and more each time we read it. Precept upon precept. It’s just amazing how I will read something one time and not hear from the Holy Spirit and the next time learn more. Each day is a new day with the Lord.
The past week and a half have had 1 Tim. And 2 Tim. As I hear and read those passages, I do not see where or how the churches get the ‘Pastor’ idea. Elders, bishops and deacons at to pastor, but some are also teachers, preachers, evangelists. Not all pastors are teachers, preachers or evangelists. And all teachers, preachers and evangelists are not ‘Pastors’ or deacons or bishops or elders.
One who is not an elder, bishop or deacon can call themselves an Evangelist, a Preacher or Teacher. No where in scripture is there a reference to one being called a ‘Pastor’. And women can NOT be ‘Pastors’ for that is what only elder, bishop and deacons can do. Those are men. A woman can be a teacher, evangelist or preacher but definitely not put the word ‘Pastor’ in front of her name. That does not makes sense or equal the bible truth.
It is just so evident these days that Christians really don’t read their bibles. They only go by what they hear or just follow the crowd. But Jesus warned about that, yet it is happening.
Read today’s reading to see and know the truth and then decide who you will follow, be a sheep of, a disciple of. Jesus Christ the Pastor and Bishop of our souls or false pastors teaching their ways. Wide is the path and narrow is the gate.
2 Timothy 4
1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
many do not like me or want to be friends with me because I expose false doctrine, false teachings, fasle teachers, ear tickling sermons, and fluffy motivational speaches that have no sound doctrine what so ever. But it does not bother me at all, for I only serve Jesus Christ, not the lusts and desires of man and their opinions and thoughts and fasle teachings and fasle doctrines. My best friend is Jesus and I know I am His Friend too and I'd rather have one True Friend then many false ones.

The apostle salutes Titus.
People will turn away from the truth, they will grow weary of the plain gospel of Christ, they will be greedy of fables, and take pleasure in them. People do so when they will not endure that preaching which is searching, plain, and to the purpose. Those who love souls must be ever watchful, must venture and bear all the painful effects of their faithfulness, and take all opportunities of making known the pure gospel. (2Ti 4:6-8)
We who follow Jesus are His Disciples. There were only 12 Apostles, not 12 disciples. The number of disciples is not limited. If you obey Jesus' teachings, then you are a true follower and disciple. If you think you are following, but are not really, then you are a lost sheep and false diciple. Read the bible to know the truth to see who or what you are following.
Jesus or man? or (satan in discuise)?
