As many of you know, my grandparents raised me from basically the day I was born. They legally adopted me when I was eight years old and I never lived with my biological parents. I lost my grandfather when I was fifteen and now I am facing the loss of my grandmother. My biological mother called me yesterday to tell me she is fading quickly and that I should make plans to see her with my children this weekend. Everything I am is because of her and I am having such a hard time picturing life without her in it. I know she is saved and therefore I am excited for her to be going to be with Jesus, where I know she will no longer suffer. But I am also human, and selfish. I want her here with me! Please pray for me as I face this loss. Pray that God will free me up from work responsibilities to spend some extra time with her while I can and that when the time comes I will possess the kind of strength she has always shown in the face of any adversity.
