| I have recently been contacted by some friends I grew up with. One in particular...it is funny that with how so much things have changed...they are still the same. Things were difficult for me as a kid...back then it was normal but the thought of my children having to survive what I found normal goes over about as smoothly as a bath in alcohol after scrubbing with steel wool for 30 minutes or so. So, how do we change the direction of our kids in order to prevent them from doing what we did and what our parents did and their parents and so on...we change our direction. The Bible says that in Christ we are new creations and that the old things are gone...We unfortunately have no choice in the way the road we are on ends...we will go wherever it leads. But by God's grace we do have the choice in the road we choose to walk and can change roads at any time we realize the truth. Romans says that God showed His love for us by dying for us while we were still in sin...and that through His sacrifice we would have the remission of sins: forgiveness and salvation are ours IF WE WALK HIS ROAD. We cannot claim heaven walking worldy roads...they all lead to destruction...we can only claim heaven walking the only road that leads to heaven: Salvation in Jesus Christ. The questions about my transformation from the guy I was to the guy I am were amazing but here is the answer: I found truth and changed my path. Where is the path you are walking on leading you |
