Lamentations 2:19 - Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children.
I love my children, biological and step, more than life itself. But I have to tell you sometimes the heartache is hard to take. I mean one being seriously depressed, another living far from us and in a home where the stepdad is a lot less than loving, one that is facing a mammogram at 16, another is so quite it scares me sometimes, and another that has Asperger's syndrom. If you don't know anything about that, it is like you are contantly paraniod and you think everything and everyone is out to get you. Last night it was raining lightly and he woke us up at 3:30 in the morning convinced there was a tornado.
I know praying works concerning my kids. I have seen my kids becoming more and more convicted towards Christ. But in times when it becomes difficult or trying, it hurts. But as bad as it gets I just try to keep reminding myself that it could always be worse.
Nothing could be as bad with your children as what Mary had to go through as she watched her son Jesus. His suffering, his pain and his crucifiction could never be compared to what trivial trials I might be going through.
Anyway, I will press on, keep the faith, and continue to pray. Just had to get a thought out there to all the moms today.

| Praying for you Sister, "yes" things could be worse , but thank God you are able to pray for them and love them as mothers do! I am a parent of Eight and i have not been the best parent but i know that God gives me the Grace to keep on moving on, and i have laid the foundation of Christ in all of them. Just keep trusting in him. |

see what I said is true, Becky, those of us whom the Lord allows to endure the pain and trials have much depth and insight that others with less troubled lives may have... but the good news is that he does and will bring us up out of that painful place, and when we go we take alll the lessons, revelations, and insights gained in the journey with us to the new heights.... love you in him, sis JenBoat |

| That is what we do, all we can do, and to give them to Him. Every single moment, and every single day. Trust in God. |

And love them, as much and as often as you can, until it hurts. Love until it hurts, remembering that you can never, ever love too much, because He never has |

| I had a praying mother, and all four of her children are saved! I am a praying parent, too, and both of my children are saved, too. Our prayers DO get heard, and if we "train our children in the way they should go", they " will not depart from it". We have that promise from the Father. |

Another thing I find helps me is to proclaim what I am praying for....I just love to put it out into the atmosphere...and it is so invigorating, I'm a widow so I live alone and I can walk the rooms of my house and loudly proclaim His word, "But from everlasting to everlasting the Lords love is with those who fear him, and His righteousness with their children....The children of your servants will live in your presence their descendants will be established before you" Powerful, relieves me of worry gets me praising causes my well to spring up...... |

Becky, Great verse! I have never read it before. As a mom we are entrusted with the souls of little ones. Speaking the Word out loud and consistantly is very important. God says "His Word will not return void."!!! Thanks for the thought. |

| Oh yes! You really got to trust the Lord when they become young adults, eh? That is exactly what they are: "young" adults. Keep praying! There is soooooooooooooooo much power in that! My less than perfect parents prayed for me all through the years, and I can tell you from all the close calls, that God protected me from death, so that I could one day chose to serve Him! He will look after your children. After all, He loves them more than you do! Can you imagine that??? WOW! Love you, Becky. Oh, and may I add that inspite of myself, God protected me! lol |

Becky (7), All I can say here is that I agree and that I continue to pray for my children - who are both now grown adults.
Peace! |

| I agree, I've seen all different situations with my kids this year. Way too many things this year, yet, I also find myself praying with a fervor that I never knew was there. I've also found that I run out of prayers. Sometimes I just wear down. Then is when the Church gets to be the Church. I have so needed you all to carry me when it all gets too much. My local Church, and friends MH, have all helped. You here have also been by my side. WHenever the MyChurch team gets mentioned, I remember how this place has become a place where God's kingdom has come. When I can't be there for those I love, or when I don't know to be there, I trust God's people to be there. He has placed so many around, whew, what a crew of frail faithful friends! I started this one direction, and ended up remembering how much you all have loved me, someone you only know in cyberspace! Thank you all, I am honored and comforted to have your friendship and prayers! |

MH Guitarist Thanks You are so right! Prayer is the only thing that can hedge against the stresses of watching your children suffer or struggle. I am so sorry you had to watch yours struggle.
Friends Good new my one daughter who was undergoing medical issues has not received any bad news about the mammogram, and some news about her endoscopy of her stomach. Our suicidal son who came home from the military is on the road to recovery of bipolar serious depression and is excited about starting college in January and passing his EMT testing. Our youngest is getting the help he needs and actually for a 13 year old was mature enough to realize he might not be mature enough to go on or be allowed to go into the 9th grade next year. He is tossing around the idea of repeating the 8th grade. He is quite immature and the professional help for him and us to deal with his autistic and asperger syndrom disorder is giving us much hope. As far as the young mommy, and grandbaby, God is taking care of that conviction and hopefully my husband will have all of his children living with us and we can work on showing them the love of our Heavenly father and the amazing verse of 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. As far as my biological daughter continue to pray for her as she is growing through Gods grace but it is painful. She is lonely after moving away from two schools in three years. It has been difficult for both her and I as we learned how to become an Army family these last three years.
Thanks friends for the prayers. We will take all that we can get. |
