Singing In The Choir

15:1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.


The choir at Graceway Baptist Church has the most members it has ever had!

Tassi and I belonged to Graceway almost six years before we joined.  Why didn't we join earlier?  We have so much fun lifting our voices to the Lord.  We feel like we are even more involved in the services.  We have gotten to know so many more people better than we knew them, and some we had never even met before.

The last time I was in a choir was in middle school and I had to be because of a school requirement.  This time I wanted to be in choir and it makes a world of difference.

We would love to hear which songs you like best and if any ever speak to you.

I think you guys sound absolutely wonderful.  It has been high school since I sang in choir. I loved it, but my sporting activities conflicted with it, so I did not sing my senior year. 

So many churches these days don't have a choir anymore. My son Zach's favorite thing is when Pastor says "Lets bring in the choir". The song that Brooke sang last Sunday really spoke to me.

I have always been moved by music and it speaks to me in ways that words alone can't. I have never been in a choir before so when we joined Graceway I knew I wanted to be up there singing (making noise, whatever you call what I do!! :-))  for the Lord! Wendy is SO RIGHT when she says that a lot of churches don't have choirs anymore and I think that it's sad. I love the ladies ensemble!! They sound like pros.

I like how you say 'making noise'!  For some reason how I sing in church never sounds like how I sing in the shower....  Maybe if I wear a shower cap during the services....

I mean really, how many women use shower caps nowadays? Oh, Minnie! We should start a poll - how many women still use shower or swimming caps?

I believe this Sunday, tomorrow, we are singing "Thank You For The Cross".  Is that right?

Oh, right... back to being serious about this. Actually, I don't know what we are singing this Sunday as I have been sick and not in choir lately.  It feels weird and I have missed it.  Something about being up there in that robe makes me feel all soul-full inside.

I will be in choir!  I've been doing a lot better and only coughing here and there.  It only took two weeks to get rid of!!  And yes.... Nyquil and I have had a very special relationship lately both liquid and pill form.  :o)
