     We recently suffered the lost of a good friend and co-worker. And I can’t stop thinking in the suffering of his parents. I put myself in their shoes and I concluded IT IS HARD...LOSING YOUR CHILD! Last night I put my daughter into bed and, as usual, I affirmed her in the love of God. I always make her answer two question every night. - Vanessa who is the person that loves you most? And she said: YOU AND DADDY! Very good, I replied.
- Then I said to her, but who is The One that loves you even more than us? Automatically she replied JESUS!
After that she said Mami, how much do you love me? And I said baby with no measure, let me put it in this way; I love you more than myself! If one day I have to die to take your place I will, because in that moment I was thinking on my friend’s parents. I know that if they have had the choice, they will take all sickness for him, and die instead of him. Immediately after that, The Holy Spirit said to me: “This is exactly the way I feel for you, with the difference that I already die for you”.
Friends I knew that, but in that moment the love of God was reveled to me in such a powerful way that overwhelmed me. I always have known that He died but when I put His love in the perspective of my love for my daughter or in the perspective of my friend’s parents it excavated more into my soul. In His love dwells the fullness of God and whomsoever learn to know this love, automatically will receive His fullness.
“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19
Do you want a miracle in your lives? Do you want to walk in power? If the answer is Yes, I do! So you only need to “being rooted and established in love”. Notice this; the verse says “to know this love that surpasses knowledge”. Paul doesn’t said “to understand” this love, do you know why? Because it isn’t understandable, no measure, no explanation, in case you missed SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE.
Do you know why is so difficult for us to be rooted in love?
Because as Christians we spend so much time trying to understand God, which I believe is better instead of doing nothing, but you have to start KNOWING Him.
We become ourselves as Intellectual Christians, we read books, listened to sermons, spend hours highlighting our Bibles but when we see our life, it is fruitless, and sometimes we feel miserable.
Sometimes we argue with God and say: “Come on God! I have been doing this and that, I go to church, I read the Bible, I live for you, you are my all, and look at me God. Why everything in my life is so disperse and miserable?” Have you ever thought in that way?
Christians needs to live a blessed life; one day I set myself in a position to receive and I said to myself “If according to the Bible I’m blessed since now on I will live as so, even when I do not understand it, I receive it” And let me tell you “I’VE BEING PROSPERED AND BLESSED”
My live changed when I accepted His word as true, no matter if I did not understand how it Works. It’s not my business it’s His!
I just understood this principle “Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me”. (Mat 11:6)
Let me show you this in the Amplified version the same verse is translated as follow: “And blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) is he who takes no offense at Me and finds no cause for stumbling in or through Me and is not hindered from seeing the Truth”
Did you see this? Come On! I wish I could talk to you right know to show you all this true that is encapsulated in this verse. But I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal it to you right now.
It says blessed is he who takes no offense at me! Do you know what be offended means? Ok! Let me show you in The Word in John 16:1, Jesus says, "These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended." And According to Mark 4:17, when a person is offended, Satan takes the Word of God from them.
“And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away.” Mark 4:17 Amplified Version
In other words, when you are offended the Word of God stops releasing its life-giving power in your life. When you take offense, when you get hurt, the Word stops operating. The Lord said, "These things [John 14, 15, and 16] have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended."
See this, been blessed is not other thing that keep you confession, and faith in God. You are not blessed because the outgoing of your circumstances but for the confidence that you have in His Word. Because, no matter what... you will not be shaken, so you are blessed.
And here is the conjunction; you are blessed because you believe in Him and you receive his blessing by the fullness of His Grace, which is rooted in His love “From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1:16.
Everything begins and ends in LOVE, and if we desire more blessings in our live, we need to KNOW Him more and rest our mind for trying to understand Him. I hope you find this as useful as I found it when the Word was revealed to me. Blessings! |

As soon as I read the line that said, "we spend so much time trying to understand God, " I was instantly reminded of my life verse which is Proverbs 3:5&6.
When God first spoke that verse to me I felt so relieved that he was telling me not to depend on my understanding. Well, if I am not to depend on my own understanding then it is obviously not mandatory that I understand everything about him All I have to do is trust.
In the process of getting to know someone we develop a level of trust. The more I "know" God, the more I trust him!
