| Redeeming the Time |

5:15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 5:16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Man how true are those words! It is amazing to me how quickly our time disappears. I heard a friend tell me, in reference to budgeting, "I didn't realize how fast my money disappears!" The same is true with our time, only worse, because we cannot buy more time. What we have is all that we get. The sad thing is that we waste our time with mundane things when we could be working for the kingdom.
Meriwether Lewis, that famous explorer of the American West, once wrote, "I pray that I may live the rest of my life in service to others, as I have heretofore lived for myself." On his 33rd birthday, from the American West, Lewis realized how short life truly is. May I encourage you to live your life to the fullest, but live it to the fullest of your potential in Christ.
6:9 And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.
