Here's a challenge for you to pray about - its also a prayer request, kind of a two-fer deal or BOGO (my favorite!).
I've been challenged to read the Bible through over the next year. Would you be interested in joining me?? No, no, no, you may not come over at 5AM or 11:30PM or whenever I am not messin' with the girls latest crisis and am able to delve into the Word....but you CAN do it on your own and we can encourage one another along. I could use your prayers (that's the two-fer deal) as I commit to this challenge and seek to hear what God has to say to me in this process.
I have a friend who reads the Bible through EVERY YEAR. He is so faithful, and learns new insights each time. I want that!
Just email me here and let me know if you would like to join me! I am planning to start right away once I find a schedule I like (suggestions welcome); you may decide to make it a NYresolution instead. No guilt, though, if it doesn't happen. See, I've tried this a couple other times. I made it through Job....and I've read all of the NT separately, but I've never told anyone I was going to try it or asked for "help" before (<gulp!>). I've also tried to digest too big of chunks of the Word at a time and have gotten discouraged.
