Amen. This really speaks to what is happening today. Lots of churches like to boast of the number of their flocks but the important thing is the substance of their flock. While there are such large numbers of un-churched people, youth in particular, we must find ways to reach them. You are correct in your perspective of the difference of corporations and churches. Results should be the main goal, involving the members and encouraging them in spreading the gospel. Sunday school is great for teaching the word of God, but what about discipleship training? To few churches even have discipleship training any more. It has become youth activities, camp, ski trips and such which do not have anything to do with the Lord's word. We need to find a way to make studying the Lord's word a priority in the lives of our youth. If we can not find a way to get and hold the attention of our youth on matters of Christianity we will lose the next generations to Satan. We must act now as the future depends on this.

Amen, brother.  I love the book of Proverbs.  I love that there are 31 chapters.  One each day, then start again next month. And the next.  There is so much there that one can get something fresh each time.  And so very much of the wisdom is quite down to earth and practical.  Divine guidance for one's daily affairs and conduct.  In bite sized pieces, no less.

Janet, it is time for us to reach the Christian youths in our nations.  Don, I have completed the first three chapters of this wonderful book.  I am now sending one meditation daily through bulletins.

Job,

I'm not nearly so disciplined in my writing, but as I have time, I've begun "translating" sections into letters to my own son (and daughters).  I posted a couple of them here a while back, "The Real Key", and "Some Hard Facts on Success".  I would value your input if you had time.  At any rate, I appreciate what you're writing, and look forward to seeing more.

Don,

Don,

Honey bees collect honey from different flowers and store the same in honeycombs in the clefts of rocks.  The proverbs are the honeycombs stored in the clefts of the Rock of Ages. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart one day that I should meditate on every verse in the book of Proverbs and write a daily devotional for the people of God.

Earlier I had been meditating on the Song of Songs verse by verse and finally brought out a book titled "The Voice of My Beloved" which is available on the web also. It toom nearly 15 years to complete my meditations on the Song of Songs.  I published the same in a book called The Voice of My beloved in 2002.  Click here to read the same.

In obedience to His present call, I have begun to meditate on this wonderful book and to write the devotionals, chapter-wise.

Our Lord brings honey out of the rock.  When we face rock-like situations in our life, we find honey out of the rock. We get pure interpretations out of His word only through sufferings.  The Lord satisfies us with honey out of the rock.
