| Called to be Holy |

Moses saw a burning bush and was called to lead his people out of the slavery they faced in Egypt. David while tending to his sheep, was called home and was made king of Israel. Paul fell of his horse outside Damascus then became an apostle to the Gentiles. My calling came after my life had reached rock bottom and I was curled up in the fettle position of my living floor crying over the people I had hurt during my military service. When did you receive you call to holiness? All of God’s children are called by Him. Paul wrote in his greeting to the fellowship at Corinth, that this calling is not reserved only for the greats of the bible. Our Father calls all of us into a relationship and a life of service.
It is true that not all of us are called to be a father of a nation, maybe you won’ t even be recognized as a great Christian leader, but we are all called to be God’s saints, God’s holy ones. We are called to be God’s messengers where we work. We are called to be God’s teachers and examples in our homes. We are called to serve those in need in our church and communities.
Though the places and times may have changed, every Christians calling is a crucial piece of the puzzle, every brother and sister is called to be holy. It is an important call and should not be taken with a grain of salt.
From Patrick a servant of God chosen to be an apostle of Jesus Christ.
