| Where is the diversity??? |
|
| |
I live in Albany, GA a predominently black city(at least it seems to be one, I've only been here a year and a couple of months). It's a wonderful city. I love it here! I believe it is the land of milk and honey, a prosperous city, and I believe it's a place where the Holy Spirit is moving with such power there's going to be such a supernatural revival. What really hurts the most is, it's not a diverse area. My hurt doesn't even come close to what Jesus feels. I believe a day is coming very soon when Albany will be diverse. My prayer is that not just in Albany, but all over the world Christians of different backgrounds will gather and fellowship together and just worship our Heavenly Father. I'm quite sure there are some of you out there that are feeling exactly what I'm feeling. Let's us all pray for a universal revival in the Body of Christ! Let us pray for unity, no matter what color, language, and let us pray for a breakthrough in cultural barriers! Let us pray together, as one body! Let us not just pray together, but reach out to someone outside of our race, our culture, reach out to someone different from you. Look beyond skin and differences because they're your sister or brother whether you like it or not! Reach out...do something different, something new! May God bless you! |

In the Book of Acts it speaks of the Day of Penecost when all the disciple where gathered together in the upper room, in one accord, and the Holy Spirit came upon them. When we all begin to get into one accord, when we all begin to pray for the same thing, revival, then the Holy Spirit will manifest Himself in a mighty way among the brethren. All For Christ |

I totally agree with you. Unity. Jesus himself prayed for unity.
One of the things that drew me to my church here in Atlanta is the diversity of people. 17 years ago God gave our pastor the vision of starting a church that would bridge the gap between cultures. God told him that one day there would be 100 nations represented there. Well, Praise God, today, 17 years later, we currently have 94 nations represented!
When God speaks a Word and we act in obedience, without a doubt, He will bring it to pass!
