Job Chapter 1... Finishes with a prayer "God's name be forever blessed", 1:21 and he said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: Jehovah gave, and Jehovah hath taken away; blessed be the name of Jehovah. Job looks to God and in all his pain and misery focuses on blessing God. This wasn't some hopeless comment... Job meant it. REALITY CHECK, he's just lost all his children! Job loved his children so much that each day he would make a sacrificial atonement just in case they sinned. Then they were ALL died, but Job doesn't focus on the problem or the pain (he must have been in such grief).
Job recognised that God was in control and yet he doesn't sin he doesn't blame God.
1:22 In all this Job did no sin, and did not say that God's acts were foolish.
His focus was to worship - "God's name be forever blessed" He didn’t just praise God, ....he worshipped.
We see exactly the same in 2 Samuel 12v20.. (after the death of his Son) 12:20 Then David got up from the earth, and after washing and rubbing himself with oil and changing his clothing, he went into the house of the Lord and gave worship: then he went back to his house, and at his order they put food before him and he had a meal. Conclusion: - In time of trouble, pain, suffering... Stop focussing on the problem, and worship, it is through this we have release
