True god- inspired love doesn't look for wrongs Or try to control. Love looks beyond the faults and meets the need. Love forgives and doesn't hold grudges, It also knows when it has wronged others And is not afraid to admit the wrong and tries to right it. Love also respects other's feelings and doesn't cruelly make fun of them or put them down. Love thinks before it speaks and considers how it Would feel if treated the same way. Love also realizes its seed has grown up and doesn't need Correction- just encouragement and guidance. Love realizes too much "criticism has Has a destructive "slow poison effect" on the Person by destroying the self-worth. This turns into destructive nit-picking.
Love calls the other checking up on them and doesn't ignore them or makes them feel unwanted or a bother or expects them to do all the calling or coming around
Love doesn't take offense and get angry easily Love is patient and kind and open minded , valuing others and do not interrupt them Love looks for and gives positive feed back on the good in the person. Love doesn't build itself up at the expense of others or lash out at them when the problem is in them. Love give the credit where credit is due Love doesn't demand begging for affection and help from anyone- it is freely and cheerfully given.
Love treats all the same never playing favorites Love keeps confidences and doesn't gossip or backbite ( causing hard feelings)
Love doesn't try to make it self look good by telling others one thing and treating the person in question totally different in the next breath.
LOVE REALIZES NO MATTER IF IT IS YOUR HOME-
YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TREAT ANYONE THE WAY YOU WANT AND ULTIMATELY WHO GAVE YOU THE HOME TO SUPPLY YOUR NEEDS? AND WHAT WOULD HE SAY AT YOUR BEHAVIOUR- OR WHAT YOU ARE DOING to others
LOVE ALSO KNOWS IF YOU CAN'T FORGIVE OTHERS HOW CAN THE LORD FORGIVE YOU?
Love glories in the others improving themsleves and says so being proud of them because it reflects on them and not threatened by it.
ALSO Love is long suffering and extremely patient and doesn't intentionally wound others in action or word.
love doesn't jump one way and then the other and enlist others into doing evil evil against one of their own it handles situations with prayer not anger and causing others to respond the same causing 2 sins.
Love treats you the same 365 days of the year and realizes one approach may work for one and not the other
Love is gentle and kind and peaceful- adding to the joy and loves differences and doesn't compare or try to change others and is not afraid of change
and is teachable from all ages no matter if it is your seed
Love also knows it is not always right and the others always wrong ( this is a characteristic of a spirit- jezebel, manipulative, controlling- will not admit wrong)
Love doesn't try to make like what someone is saying is not of god- (indicative of god working on you or another spirit delilah) getting angry and protesting way too much check your heart problem is in your area
The first line of the song that Kirk Franklin wrote a few years back says "Love... a word that comes and goes.... but do people really know what it means to really love somebody..." When reading all of those things it makes you more aware of the many characteristics of that 4 -letter word... "LOVE" .... I remember when I was asking God to show me how or to teach me how to love and individual... and He told me simply to love Him first... loving Him can teach you all of those and many more characteristics.... wonderful posts San....
