If you are at all interested in art, you have got to see these masterpieces up close. These pics are digital with between 16 and 8.8 Gigabytes worth of pixel information each! You can see the brush strokes, the cracks and the damage to each masterwork. And the music's great too!
You must try this software! It is incredible to look at these great frescoes from a fly's point of view usually reserved for scientists on scaffolding!
The first is Da Vinci's Last Supper found here:

The second is a very interesting look at Andrea Pozzo's unusual church fresco found here:

From Wikipedia- ....(this) ...masterpiece is Andrea Pozzo's trompe l'œil fresco spanning the nave ceiling (1685)[1]. The lavish Baroque fresco of 17 m of diameter is devised to make an observer, standing on the spot marked by a golden disc set into the nave floor, will see a lofty vaulted cupola decorated by statues, while in fact the ceiling is hemi-cylindrical. Closer to the altar marks a second marker is ideal for viewing the false dome painted above the crossing. It is said that the neighbors of Sant'Ignazio didn't want a rather large dome blocking their sun, and therefore a pictorial illusion was provided.
As for the third masterpiece, by Gaudenzio Ferrari:

I have often seen this (Wiki) detail of a frescoe in the church of Santa Maria della Pace called the "Tramezzo of Santa Maria delle Grazie' s Church."
There are 21 areas that depict the Life of Christ of which this scene is central:
<---------Wiki photo
However it is only small percentage of a larger frescoe seen here at 1% view (note the arches of the church below):

Now, note the detail at just 40% of the central giornata (separate area of plaster) illustrated inadequately by the above picture from wikipedia.

There will apparently be other works to come.
Oddly enough the website is by Hal9000! LOL
Lastly, can you find yourself in the details of these masterpieces? I believe I have found myself here, glaring at the "victim" on the cross.... destined to become my Lord and Savior!

3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree: 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. |
