Cold!

Man, is it ever cold outside! It is on days like today that we become aware of what a blessing it is to have a furnace and a warm house to stay in. It is easy to take such a blessing for granted. It is also easy to take for granted the blessing that God has given us in His Word. Sometimes God has had to remind me what a blessing it is to have such easy access to the Bible. Sometimes life gets hard, stress is high, discouragement sets in and we find comfort and strength in God's Word. But why wait until the hard times to dig into God's Word? Each and every day we can open the Word and let God speak to us, convict us, and conform us to the likeness of Christ!

I have to agree with you. I can't tell you how many times I walk by the Bible and feel like God's Word is calling out to me to sit and visit awhile. Too often do I keep walking, saying to myself, "I will sit down later on and take some time to just enjoy visiting with God in His Word." Later doesn't always get here though. Sometimes, "later" just seems to never come even though I anticipate it's arrival. We have to be sure that we keep God as numero uno on our priority list, otherwise, we miss out on all that He has to tell us!
