What is Inside Out Church? Well, it's really about a desire and an idea. A few nights ago a friend (Andrew Beasley) and I were sitting down talking with our wives about what we desire for the Body of Christ in our comunity and in America. During the conversation my friend (Andrew Beasley) said something that really stuck with me and I've been thinking on it ever since. We were talking about how we desire to see people get out of the pews and go out and be Christ to the communities they live in, instead of waiting for the pastor or church staff to do all the work of the Kingdom. During the conversation Andrew said we should have a church that went inside out. After that I started to think about that statement and what it would mean. We talked about having a church and teaching the people to go out into the world instead of staying in the four walls of the church building. Thus the idea of Inside Out Church was born. Right now it's an idea and a desire. A vision being birthed. Is there a way in America to go from being a people that is more concerned about the latest fashion, to being people that would die to help others? To be people that give till it hurts? To be people that put cloths on other peoples backs? Food on other peoples tables? May we find a way to show the lost, hurting, poor, and needy, that they are more important to Christ and His people then the latest fashion, money trends, get rich ideas, etc. Until then.
