Piles of laundry waiting to be washed, dried, and put away: 6 hours Unsuccessful attempt at potty training a 2-year old: 12 hours No errands run due to having to stay home and potty train: 2-3 hours A to-do list a mile long with only a couple things marked off: 20 hours Taking time to put together a craft turkey for a kindergarten project made out of rocks, candy corns and pretzels, play a home-made version of Blues Clues, and talk about God’s precious Word, then hearing the words, “You are the best mom in the world” – PRICELESS ******************************************************************* God has been nudging me and my Martha self to stop, be still and listen. While that irritates me given everything that needs to be done in the course of a day (even though it will just be repeated again tomorrow), I made a choice to slow down today and stay home. What a blast I had with my children. Thank you Lord for helping me choose today to focus the entire day, not just parts of it, on what is truly important.
