Know Your Enemy! (Part 3) 12. DEFILEMENT Defilement with the things of the world. God insists upon clean vessels. A believer who defiles himself with the things of this world can never be fully used by God, regardless of his education, ability, energy, or experience. To become defiled is to forget.1Corinthians 3: 16-17 (16v- Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of Goddwelleth in you? (17v- if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”) 13. DISCONTENT One of Satan’s favorite lies is to tell people that things will be better if they go elsewhere: For example, if they: a) Change marriage partners b) Change churches Some people are always complaining. God says: Hebrews 13:5 (Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said,” I will never leave you nor forsake thee.) and God said 1 Timothy 6:8 (And having food and raiment let us be therewith content) and he also said in Philippians 4:11 (Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.) So what is it that I am telling you, I am telling us that God will give you all that you need, and to be happy with what you got. So what if your husband drives you up the wall, he’s yours and a man of God, that loves God first and then you, He with the things of God, so what if the church is wrong in what they do, but they feed you the spiritual food that your spiritual body needs. What I am saying is be happy with what you have, cause if you lose what you got, you might be loosening the best that God has for you. God loves you and he wants you to have the best of the best. He doesn’t want you to have second best but the first best or it’s nothing! 14. DEFAME How often are Christians guilty of criticizing or belittling other believers. If we have something against a believer, tell him or her to they face. To defame someone is to forget. Psalm 1001:5 (Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.”) The Bible tell us to love and respect our neighbors, we need to live my God’s words to find favor from the Lord. And next and last, and the most of the entire device that Satan uses against us. I think was the down fall of a lot us is: 15. DISOBEDIENCE There are two famous men in the Bible that had this problem and they were both named Saul. a) Both were from the tribe of Benjamin, 1Sammuel 9:2(And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, They servant is he.) Philippians 3:5 (Circumcised the eighth day of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching law, a Pharisee;) b) One was tall and impressive; and the other short and impressive. c) OT Saul began as God’s friend and ended up as God’s enemy. NT Saul started as God’s enemy, but ended up as God’s friend. d) OT Saul went to the witch of Endor in his hour of death. NT Saul turned to the Word of God in his hour of death. |
