You're right....there is a huge spiritual battle going on in India (and all over SouthEast Asia!) right now.  I think the amazing thing about India right now is that the spiritual battle is so tactile.  Real miracles (the kind that we tend to roll our eyes and doubt the plausibility of here in our sterile U.S. churches) happen daily. People in India and China are getting saved at a rate that puts our churches to shame.  Missionaries are beginning to rise out of these countries with the desire to come to the U.S. to evangelize us!  It's just amazing.

I'd recommend a book and website if anyone is interested.  The Gospel for Asia website is www.gfa.org .  This is the organization founded by K.P. Yohannan and is one of the primary missionary organizations working in India today.  God is working mightily through the native missionaries that are trained by GFA.  K.P. Yohannan authored a book, "Revolution in World Missions" that will literally knock your socks off.  The book can be acquired free of charge by going to the website and clicking on the 'request a book' link on the homepage.  That book can change your life!

For Connie....if you would wish for the ability to directly impact the life of a child in India - to personally bond with and correspond with him/her as well - then you might wish to check out Compassion International (www.compassion.com).  Through Compassion International you can sponsor a child (or many children!) in India.  The sponsorship gives them education, nutritional food, and Christian discipleship.  In my humble opinion, Compassion is the greatest child sponsorship organization out there.  It's a great way to reach out across the world to help others.

And, most importantly.....keep praying just like Connie suggested.  The power of prayer is the single greatest weapon we hold against Satan today.
