I was blessed to be able to give my testimony at the youth group service last night. A big part of my story dealt with my dad. Some bad things happened when I was a child and through the rest of my childhood I struggled with the issue of abondonment. Not unitl later in life did God reveal to me that I was never abandoned or alone. A couple of years ago I was able to reconcile with my dad after 17 years of not knowing him. I was able to share the Gospel message with him and show him that I forgave him. 2 months later he suddenly died at the age of 41. He had lived a life of drug and alcohol abuse and died at an early age because of it. By Gods grace I was able to minister to him right before he died. Shortly after that God reminded me of what his word says in Hebrew 13:5
13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never fail you nor forsake you."
Thanks for sharing...your testimony was such a huge blessing not only to the youth, but to the other leaders as well. It really inspired me to find ways to share my faith always. God totally opened up a door at work today to share and last night gave me the courage to speak up.
