Mike, you sure do have a lot of wisdom for being only in your 30's :)

Amen, I wouldn't know about the marriage part but about the part where every choice we make reflects what position we are towards God I do understand. Well said. I give you a star.

Sue, if I were really wise, I would've been in bed 2 hours ago!!!

To be fair, some choices have more potential than others.

Paper or plastic?
Stripes or plaid?
Want to supersize that?

These have less potential to impact my relationship with God than say, my choice to stay up on the computer rather than go to bed at 10pm so I'd be sharp for my devotions in the morning.

Mike, The more decision-making crossroads we regard as "neutral", the less we depend on our Savior's guidance. But I'm in complete agreement with your point, not all choices have the same potential!

I agree with all of the above! This is how what I've been thinking a lot about lately, with choosing how we spend our money. Again you say what I'm trying to, better than I can :)

Amen, Michael. How often I've stayed up too late in the same manner. I think one thing that helps is to minimize TV and I mean minimize. I basically watch 3 shows: House, 24, and NASCAR. The races last forever so I usually take a nap, stay on the computer and glance from time to time, til Gordon wins. I try and tape shows in order to skip past all commercials.

Movies can be another distraction.

See I recently brought this up, and every choice does make a difference. For instance: Do you want to supersize that? (from above comment) If you say yes, this can become habit, which can be unhealthy, which can lead to gluttony, which is a sin, which God can't look upon..No not every one who supersizes is going to go down this path, but are you willing to take that chance? One drink caused my dad to become an alcoholic. One friend caused me to rebel. One show on T.V. opened the door and planted seed.

Don't mean to ramble. Touchy subject with me lately. Every sin begins with a thought. Then we have a choice. To take that thought captive or to let that thought take us captive. We are to think on things pure, lovely, and holy.....Gotta stop before you get me preaching! LOL!! Great word! Thanks for sharing.

LaTonya, I am really enjoying your comments on these old blogs! Heck, just enjoying your comments period. So thoughtful! You are a deep thinker!!!

By reading your comment I can see that you've processed this thought just as systematically as I did when I wrote it down. I would guess that you're an accountant...

ps...Preach! Ramble! Your thoughts are great!
