| A Kenami Moment |

5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
I just finished reading Mike's blog "My Pastor Is Not Famous" and I just went to crying. I mean I was ballin… What Mike said about his Pastor was so beautiful…. I too have a Pastor just like that. Ken, I know people don't really you or know all the sacrifices that you have made to be faithful to your calling, not that they should know or even care, but I do. Many think that because you are called Pastor that you have no worries or concerns, but I know different. I see all that you do and I want to publicly state, how much I love you and that I will never take you for granted. You are my gift from the Lord, Kenami! (this is our way of saying I Love You). Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; How blessed am I to have the honor of being called your wife? I am so blessed to stand by your side, as we witness the awesome power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though my past life was one of guilt and shame, even though I was raped by one man, and physically abused and battered by my late husband, it was only through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ that He could and would qualify me to be called your Mrs. Thank you Mike for writing your blog which gave me the courage to write this one, in appreciation of a good man, a godly man, a child of God. Ken, my husband, my Pastor, the love of my life, you are a true man of God, a man of conviction and integrity, Kenami! You are a loving husband and a loving father. Each day I pray your strength, and look forward to the day when you won't have to work two jobs, and we can spend more time with each other. (Yes, I still hate to write, but loved writing this one.) Happy Birthday sweetheart. Kenami! |

| Mike - again thank you. I was away this past weekend at a 4 day conference and missed Ken's birthday, well actually this is the second year in a row, but I was so exhausted from the trip… I drove there and back 6 hrs, and was feeling so down, he never complained, never said a word… that's my man… that's why I kenami him so much. Mstovall - Thank you and God bless you. Evangelist Keith - Bless you brother, we thank you for allowing us to share… God's Chosen - Bless you for such kind remarks. Deb- Again, thank you for allowing me to share my love for him. MH- No Ken gets the foot rub… I get the head rub… nobody does it better. Denise - God bless you right back… Pastor Tim - I can't say enough about you… just know that you made his day the other night. To all of our friends here on MyChurch… I personally want to say.. Each of you are so very special to me in ways I cannot express in words. Each of you are unique, no two are alike, even if we do share some things in common, and yet I feel as if I've met you, seen you… through your blogs, I've cried, prayed, laughed, and even shook my head a time or two… MyChurch is truly a cyber community in every sense of the word. I'm so glad that we love the Lord and that you are our friends. Pastor Aminata |

| Pastor Aminata, you & Ken are such wonderful members of this community, what you share with people through your writing (blogs, comments, etc.), the heart and soul you put into it, elevates this place. OOoooo! Pastor, Aminata, What a tribute to a Man of God who is true and steadfast in his walk with Christ and His Love for You. I often tell Pastor Ken; I want to be just like him in knowing The Word inside-out.
I did almost 20 of those 30 years with you, so you know I know. You and Pastor Ken are such a Blessing and I want the Love you share when I grow up. I know the Love the two of you share, I've seen it grow during challenges, difficulties and the Joy. It is unwavering. The example the both of you demonstrate is THE testimony of The Living God. There God is Showing Up and Out...Again. Peace and Love, Yaa |

Thanks to all of you who have wished me a happy birthday, a special thanks to my lovely wife for sharing such heartfelt words. Like fine wine marriage gets better when we let it age through all of lifes nuances. We must allow Jesus to continue to show us how because we don't have all of the answers to many of lifes problems but surely God does. Let us always turn to him when the goin gets tough. He will see us through. Like one Minister said " I believe you had the problem so that Jesus could show off his ability to bring you out" Kenami Babe Kenami to you all! |
