After having 9 days of revival meetings under the tent and 13 weeks of training with Citytaker Ministries bombarding a segment of Plant City, Transforming Life Ministries, www.tlministries.org, is still faithfully going into their world to share salvation through Jesus Christ. Not only are we looking for salvations that endure to the end but we want a deposit or impartation of evangelistic zeal that remains even when we leave. I went out today into a trailer park and apartment complex in Plant City, FL with my friends from Transforming Life. What a blessing to see the fire of evangelism still burning with the Senior Pastor , Pastor Jim Rodriguez, doing the work of the evangelist.
We were able to exhort some older believers, we prayed for healing of their clogged arteries, as well as teaching an older Catholic lady the way of salvation. Another team shared with a drunk and at least made some headway into his heart. Our highlight was sharing the gospel with Penny, a middle aged woman who was obviously listening intently as I shared my testimony and the reason she needs Jesus. I felt some great seeds were planted. We ended our day with a very angry athiest who showed us his lack of vocabulary with his 4 letter growls. We still shared with him the Word of God. So, another day of glorious sowing! Paul wrote that some sow, some plant, but it is God who gives the increase. Do you think it is biblical to close the deal after sharing the Lord and why?
Citytaker evangelistic tip of the day
Don't think you always have to lead people into a prayer if they are not ready. Jesus didn't go running down the street chasing after the rich young ruler saying wait, wait just pray this prayer with me. He let him walk away. Warn them with urgency but don't pick fruit that isn't ripe!
