How do I start sharing my faith?

I know for lots of christians they want to share their faith but they just don't know how to start.  How many times have I stood next to an individual and all of sudden I found my heart beating and mind racing with thoughts like "on the count of three I am going to open my mouth and say something." When all of sudden it was like somebody put a lock on my mouth and threw away the key. I think one reason that some christians don't share is because they don't feel confident.  I remember at college in my BC days(before Christ), I used to spend the night playing basketball or partying and when it came time for the big exam the next day, I wasn't exactly strutting into the classroom with the utmost of confidence. My stomach felt like a bottomless pit tied up in a naval knot.  Here's what I've learned.

Using a bible tract is a place everyone can start. Whether you just got saved last night or you've been in the Way for decades, everyone can do it. A bible tract is nothing more than the bible written on paper in a short message form.  Here are a few quick benefits of tracts.

1. Tracts get into places that maybe you can't
2. Tracts don't get scared
3. Tracts don't get tired
4. Tracts are ready to preach as soon as the listener is ready
5. Tracts don't get into arguments
6. You don't puffed up with pride because much of your results will only be seen in heaven

Michael Jordan, possibly the best basketball player to ever lace em up said that he would set small achievable goals so that he would feel good about himself which allowed his confidence to grow. One way that you could start sharing your faith today and begin to grow in confidence is to start handing out at least one tract a day. That would be 365 gospel presentations a year! Wow. So, here's all you need to do to take this quick tip and put it into action in your life. Buy some gospel tracts that have the biblical gospel message. (sin, hell, the cross, the resurrection, repentance and faith) Then simply walk up to somebody you would like to share with and say,"Have you ever seen one of these" or "has anyone given you one of these" and hand them the tract with a smile on your face and love in your heart and then pray that God would use your little loaf of bread and your few small fish!
