The reading for day 19 was Judges 16:1- 1Samuel 2:36.

The story of Samson and Delilah is an interesting story. Delilah's part in the story consits of getting Samson to tell her the source of his strength and how he can be overcome. Samson's part is to mess with her, tell her the wrong thing, and then beat up the men she had hidden waiting on him. Ok, so now we know that Samson must have smoked weed or something. Anytime a girl asks how you can be killed, you leave her alone, its simple. He finally gets fed up with her nagging and tells her! What a moron! So she sells him out for money, what a woman.  He does end up killing bunches of Phillistines because of his capture, but come on man, don't tell a girl how to kill you. Anyway, God's plans were accomplished through Samson's stupidity . So I guess it turns out ok.

The story of Ruth is a beautiful picture of how God redeems those who were not his people but who have now become his people. Also, the line of David, and through him the earthly line of Christ, were established through Ruth.

Read Hannah's prayer after God has granted her a son. "There is no one like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no rock like our God." Amen
