1 Kings 22 - Micaiah was not a "yes man" and was punished by the King for telling the truth that God gave him.  The King wanted to hear what he wanted to hear because he wanted to do what he wanted to do.  Instead of listening to what God told him through the prophet Micaiah he listened to the crowd of false prophets who told him what he wanted to hear.  It led to his undoing and it can lead to ours as well.

I'd rather be punished by the earthly authorities than punished by God.
