Just to let you all know:
Karen is home and doing well. The surgery was on monday and it went very well. They did not give her a general anesethic. So was very alert after the operation and could begin her rehab in the afternoon.
On teusday they had her up for her first walk and was making it to room door and back the next trip was to the nurses station and back. Watching her I realize that we take so many things for granted; washing, showering, going to the bathroom, walking to the car.
We both thank you all for your prayers. A special thanks to our wonderful church staff who prayed with us the night before, the morning of and the evening after the surgery.
If you would like to visit, call first and let us know you are coming. Karen would love to have the company.
Also the hospital was out of stock of the nimbus 2000 Bionic knee so they put a regular one in.
