How do I start sharing my faith?(5)
This week has been about just getting started. I just posted a short blog yesterday asking for testimonies of those of you who shared the gospel today. If you have used any of these tips, please comment and encourage us and the body.
You will never finish a book you didn't start. You will never earn profit from a business you didn't start. You will never win a race that you didn’t....start. You have to start. You will never lead someone to Lord unless you start sharing the gospel. You have heard it takes 90-95% of a rocket's power to just get it off the ground. Hopefully these tips this week have helped you get off the ground and at least START! Here is a quick review.

Today, let's briefly talk about another way to start sharing your faith.
Your Testimony
People may try to debate the resurrection. People may try to debate the deity of Christ. People may even try to debate the divine inspiration of the Bible. However, the one thing that is undebatable is "I was blind and now I see!"
9:25 He answered, "Whether he is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I know, that though I was blind, now I see."
Before I was saved, I went to the University of Connecticut. I played basketball at school (my white toast, 5'9" body of steel, is not exactly the picture of college basketball) and I found myself empty of purpose and destiny. I had never heard anything about Jesus. My friends were either like me or they went to CCD(Catholic education). I remember playing basketball by myself in a gymnasium (I was supposed to be at class) and the ball would hit the wooden floor and echo throughout the empty gym. That is how I felt on the inside. Empty! The beginning of the end was after taking a hit off a joint my junior year, I became engrossed in daily anxiety attacks for 10 years.
Even the night before I heard about Jesus, I was hyperventilating at a business meeting laying on the floor like a rug in front of all my associates. I literally was as low as you can get.
But then I heard about the Prince of Peace. Oh yeh baby! The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. I gave him my life in July 1991, and now not only has his peace healed me of anxiety attacks, not only am I filled to the brim with vision, destiny, and purpose, but I now know that I have eternal life.
What was your original encounter with Christ like? Just share it over and over again. It will bless you to remember your first meeting with the Lover of your soul. You can see by reading Acts 24 and Acts 26 that the apostle Paul was one who continued to share his encounter with Christ.
Like I just demonstrated for you above, tell them about your life before Christ. Tell about your encounter with Christ. Then tell them what your life is now like with Christ and then use some of tips from the previous days like asking them, "How about you? Have you come to place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that if you were to die today you would go to heaven or is that something you are still working on?" You will be off to the races sharing the gospel.
While we wrap up this week let me ask you a question. Just because you are a reader on MyChurch or even go to church doesn’t mean you KNOW the Lord and are on your way to heaven. Do you have a testimony of meeting the Lord? Have you repented of your sin? Are you assured of your salvation? Have you fallen away and want to come back to your first love?
Pray this prayer. Lord I give you my all today. I turn from everything that is not of you and follow you today. Wash me. Cleanse me. Fill me. Let me sense your nearness. Lead me. Change me. Let me never be the same again. I love you Lord in Jesus’ name, Amen.
