I haven't posted a blog in a while.  To tell the truth I really haven't felt worthy of posting anything.  You see, I have a problem, I have been harbouring ill feelings towards my son-in-law for a looooooong time. To make a long story short, I have tried to be the most Godly example of a man that i know how to be.  I fall miserably short most of the time, but I try like crazy.   Then there is my son-in-law, there again to make a long story short, He does not.  This situation has been eating away at me for months.  I had not really studied my Bible with an open heart in some time.  Yesterday, in the Man  Cave, I asked the guys to pray for me.  Almost immediately I felt the power of that prayer working on the resentment that has been plaguing me for the last few months.  Then today i wake up nice and early and study my Bible with the sincerity that had been missing.  I am extending the olive branch, I am going to start by personally inviting him to TGiving dinner. 

The verses that were in my Bile study today are these:

Our work is great, we need to rely on each other to help defend us against the enemy.  While I was dealing with this situation on my own, Satan was using it to own me.  He was using this situation to beat me down.  Once he has his foot in the door he starts tempting you in other ways.  With the help of other men I think we have slammed the door on Satan's foot.  I would love to hear him yelping right now :).  As long as we try to fight Satan by ourselves he wins.  Like Nehemiah said the work is great and we are separated on the wall.  As men we are separated in the world during the week.  We need to be more willing to "blow the trumpet" and ask for help.  I hope that this has taught me to not fully rely on myself but to ask for help.
