Mat 8:12 But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Prelude to:
Mat 8:5 And when Jesus had entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, beseeching Him, Mat 8:6 and saying, Lord, my son lies at home paralyzed and grievously tormented. Mat 8:7 And Jesus says to him, I will come and heal him. Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my boy will be healed. Mat 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, Go! And he goes; and to another, Come! And he comes; and to my servant, Do this! And he does it. Mat 8:10 When Jesus heard, He marvelled and said to those who followed, Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel. Mat 8:11 And I say to you that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven. Mat 8:13 And Jesus said to the centurion, Go. And as you have believed, so let it be to you. And his boy was healed in that hour.
Here we see whom this is directed too. Sons of the kingdom here are by no means the “unsaved”. Verse 11 is a statement of fact.
Mat 8:11 And I say to you that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 13:42 and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Prelude to:
Mat 13:36 Then sending the crowds away, Jesus went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field. Mat 13:37 He answered and said to them, He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; Mat 13:39 The enemy who sowed them is the Devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. Mat 13:40 Therefore as the darnel are gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be in the end of this world. Mat 13:41 The Son of Man shall send out His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who do iniquity, Mat 13:42 and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Mat 13:43 Then the righteous shall shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Let us focus on this verse
Mat 13:38 the field is the world; the good seed are the sons of the kingdom; but the darnel are the sons of the evil one.
Now the previous recitation we have
Mat 8:12 But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
So what has changed, here we have good seed being equated to the sons of the kingdom yet previously they are the ones cast out. Has the plot changed?
No.
We need to focus on what is the wicked or evil one:
G4190 πονηρός ponēros pon-ay-ros' From a derivative of G4192; hurtful, that is, evil (properly in effect or influence, and thus differing from G2556, which refers rather to essential character, as well as from G4550, which indicates degeneracy from original virtue); figuratively calamitous; also (passively) ill, that is, diseased; but especially (morally) culpable, that is, derelict, vicious, facinorous; neuter (singular) mischief, malice, or (plural) guilt; masculine (singular) the devil, or (plural) sinners: - bad, evil, grievous, harm, lewd, malicious, wicked (-ness). See also G4191.
This part stands out for me
degeneracy from original virtue
What is the original virtue? What is derelict? What is Vicious? The list goes on.
It is traditionally seen that the tares and good seed are those sown in an “us and them” scenario. Pause a second. Back up one verse.
Mat 13:41 The Son of Man shall send out His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those(them) who/which do iniquity,
To understand this part of tares and good seed we need to look a little closely at these things.
His Kingdom Traditionally this is seen as something to come but it is not. The kingdom is within each and every one of us and the throne is in our hearts. Who sits upon your throne?
Things that offend
Why not people? What things offend then?
Them which do iniquity
Who are them? What is iniquity?
Now Jesus kingdom we know is established in the hearts of every man. He came to reconcile all men to God. We are all joint heirs of the kingdom, sinners and saints. The saints see it the sinners not. Yet even the saints sin don’t they?
Aah, you are getting the picture. It is not talking about outward but rather inward. The good seed is in all of us and so too is the bad seed. The tares spring forth from the bad seed and the wheat (good seed) also spring forth. They grow together; they look similar until harvest time. The wheat will bow its head while tares remain upright. There is nothing that is hidden that will not be revealed/exposed.
So we all have this bad seed within us. We sin do we not? Awe common, you can tell me.
Do I hear an amen?
So folks it is not an “us and them” it is just us.
Mat 13:43 Then the righteous shall shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Once the chaff/tares go, then the righteous shall shine. Now here we have to pause awhile.
Who is righteous?
Us? God within us?
Let me help you
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousness [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Back up to the wicked one definition, see a connection? Let’s read on:
Isa 64:7 And [there is] none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou [art] our father; we [are] the clay, and thou our potter; and we all [are] the work of thy hand. Isa 64:9 Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we [are] all thy people. Isa 64:10 Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. Isa 64:11 Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. Isa 64:12 Wilt thou refrain thyself for these [things], O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
Are you starting to see it?
Let us move onto the next citation:
Mat 22:13 Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Prelude to:
Mat 21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that He spoke of them. Mat 21:46 But seeking to lay hands on Him, they feared the crowd, because they held Him for a prophet.
The parable:
Mat 22:2 The kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who made a marriage for his son. Mat 22:3 And he sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they would not come. Mat 22:4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage. Mat 22:5 But not caring, they went their ways, one to his field, another to his trading. Mat 22:6 And the rest took his servants and treated them spitefully, and killed them. Mat 22:7 But when the king heard, he was angry. And he sent out his armies and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Mat 22:8 Then he said to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they who were invited were not worthy. Mat 22:9 Therefore go into the exits of the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite them to the marriage. Mat 22:10 So the servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with reclining guests. Mat 22:11 And the king coming in to look over the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. Mat 22:12 And he said to him, Friend, how did you come in here without having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Mat 22:13 Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few chosen.
The first part of this parable is really about the Pharisees and the chosen and essentially the religious of the day and how when the wedding, symbolic of our marriage to Jesus, the so called saved/religious refused to come. They therefore went out and found good and bad and they were at the wedding reclining, meaning they were relaxed. These were the entire world at the wedding.
So who is this dude w/o a wedding garment? What is a wedding garment? Surely this cannot mean the person was not dressed for the occasion? He was not dressed properly.
So what does this mean and what is this wedding garment?
We see the bad and good were there and were reclining, what did they have that this guy did not?
They had no false pretences. All that they had was they had accepted the invitation, they were not the elect, they were not the chosen, they were the good, the bad and the ugly (whistle tune here)
Common, do I need to force this out of you?
The dude was dressed but he was a pretender, he represents still the Pharisees and the religious. He was singled out as he had entered by his own religious ways and it was he that was cast out.
Man I sure hope you can see the gnashers are not the sinners.
Let’s look at the next one:
Mat 24:51 And He shall cut him apart and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I almost do not have to do the prelude here but I will. I need to.
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When its branch is still tender and puts out leaves, you know that summer is near. Mat 24:33 So you, likewise, when you see all these things, shall know that it is near, at the doors. Mat 24:34 Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled. Mat 24:35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away. Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels of Heaven, but only My Father. Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. Mat 24:38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark. Mat 24:39 And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man. Mat 24:40 Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:41 Two shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:42 Therefore watch; for you do not know what hour your Lord comes. Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the steward of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through. Mat 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes. Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has made ruler over His household, to give them food in due season? Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant whom his Lord shall find him doing so when He comes. Mat 24:47 Truly I say to you that He shall make him ruler over all His goods. Mat 24:48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delays His coming, Mat 24:49 and shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken, Mat 24:50 the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he does not look for Him, and in an hour which he does not know. Mat 24:51 And He shall cut him apart and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I need to break this down bit by bit. It is one of the famous rapture proof texts, lets see.
The fig tree is assimilated to literal Israel but is it? Did Jesus not curse a fig tree too? He did? I wonder why? Let’s see
Mat 21:18 And returning early to the city, He hungered. Mat 21:19 And seeing a fig tree in the way, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only. And He said to it; let no fruit grow on you forever. And immediately the fig tree withered away. Mat 21:20 And when the disciples saw, they marveled, saying, How quickly the fig tree has withered away!
The fig tree brings forth leaves about April in the Middle East and in essence is the declaration of summer is near. When was Jesus Crucified? Aah!
If you google fig tree you will find out about wasps that carry out pollination. Interesting fact is the fig tree’s fruit is actually its flower whereas most other trees flower, are pollinated and then produce their seed/fruit. The fruit comes first and then the leaves.
We have been wrongly taught that we assimilate the Fig tree with events in Israel and leaves coming forth and then we disappear into a bottomless pit of lies and deceit.
These verses speak of Jesus prophesying his death. The “this generation” was to the disciples he was addressing. He was also telling them of things to come shortly. I have heard this to infer a jubilee generation of Daniel but that is not it, it is wishful thinking of the rapture rubbish.
There is more to the Fig Tree and I will discuss that in a separate study. It is very deep.
Mat 24:35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away. Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels of Heaven, but only My Father.
Now when we speak of heaven and earth we normally associate two diversely different planes here on earth physical and wayyyy up there spiritual. Sorry. It is all us again.
What is earth?
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.
What is heaven?
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I am trying to keep this shallow so that you may see possibly the heaven and earth passing away is us. What do us as angels not know the day or hour of?
Our death? Our redemption?
Who knows?
God.
Moving on:
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. Mat 24:38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark. Mat 24:39 And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
What is it speaking of here really?
The coming of the Son of Man is not about a literal second return. The disciples kept asking Him and He tried so many times to explain it, they just never got the picture. They all expected a literal second coming, He obliged and spent 40 days with them and even then they still sought a literal return. These guys were really blind. Peter needed a vision even after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and only when he saw Gentiles being filled with the Holy Spirit did he finally get it.
The second coming is Spiritual not Physical.
We see the parallel to the flood as the destruction of the wicked yet Jesus says, they were taken away, who was taken away?
Noah + 7 or the rest?
Who was eating, drinking and marrying, Noah & family or everybody else or just plain everyone?
Now this can also go into a very deep study. Let’s move on a bit
Mat 24:40 Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Mat 24:41 Two shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
If we see this as literal then it means 50% of all living humans will be raptured, now we all know there are not that many Christians in the world are there? And I am sure the special folks “the elect” aka the “phrozen chozen” would be horrified that 50% of all mankind will be saved, horror of horrors.
So with that out of the way we need to see it another way I guess?
Earlier we touched upon the Wheat and Tares and that these were in all of us, good seed, and bad seed. All we know here it speaks of two, duality, not necessarily two persons.
Most translations speak of two women but in all these are in brackets and added merely because women were responsible for the threshing process. The NKJV IMO is rendered correct.
In the field, the angels come to divide the wheat from the tares, which is to remove the bad seed fruit from the good seed fruit. Tares serve no purpose and are therefore only fit for destruction.
The wheat is then taken into the mill for thrashing, the kernels are thrown up in the air and the wind (Pneuma) blows away the chaff. What is taken here? The chaff. See it? Let’s look.
Mat 3:12 whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and gather His wheat into the storehouse; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Even at the harvest, it is only the wheat that must remain, the crop/fruit is still attached to the stalk and that may be burned or used as animal feed. Here we see also a significance of a cycle, seed to seed. Some seed is kept to be sown again some seed for edification. If we examine the wheat kernel, it alone without the chaff and stalks, has in it the power of life, it alone without anything else is the focus of the harvest, the focus of everything. Can the wheat kernel boast? No!
Hopefully now you begin to see this has nothing to do with the rapture. It is about us.
Mat 24:42 Therefore watch; for you do not know what hour your Lord comes.
Why are we told to watch if we know not the hour? The story is moving on all the time, if the mindset is wrong at the beginning you will try and add these all together to say the same thing but it does not. Moving on:
Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the steward of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through. Mat 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes.
Who is the steward of the house? Who is the thief? What must we not allow?
We know we are the temple of God, a temple not built with hands, so we are the stewards.
Who is the thief? He is anyone that takes your focus off the true seed. He is the one who sows the tares. He is not just satan but anyone that robs you of the truth and your right standing in God’s eyes. He can even be your pastor.
We must not allow anything to block our right standing with God. The road to the Father is via Jesus and nothing else. Religion brings death. Tradition brings death. The law brings death. Sin brings death.
If by now you have a mental picture of a small child with a clenched fist and inside that hand is one kernel of wheat, you do well. The child is looking around to see who may come and steal his seed and who may offer him other seed, yet the child keeps the fist clenched and never lets go of the one true seed. Moving on:
Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has made ruler over His household, to give them food in due season?
A question of profound proportions, No?
Staying with the one seed, we are rulers of our own households and that household is the temple of God. The true seed devoid of anything else is all we need.
Now Jesus comes to the child, gently opens the hand of the child, therein He sees this single kernel, He looks into the eyes of the child and says, “Trust Me”
He takes the seed from the hand while the child looks on, He asks the child to poke a hole in the ground; then Jesus takes the seed, drops it in the hole and covers it up. “You have been faithful in little my child, watch now”. Then we see the seed dies, it germinates, and it sprouts until it grows to full maturity. The wheat ripens; Jesus picks the head, takes one seed, puts it into the hand of the child and closes the hand again. He takes the head and gives the child the harvest. See now a child with one hand holding onto the seed, and in the other hand a bushel.
to give them food in due season
Its all about what He, Jesus does, not what we do.
Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant whom his Lord shall find him doing so when He comes. Mat 24:47 Truly I say to you that He shall make him ruler over all His goods.
Now with that mindset in place, the next bit really makes sense
Mat 24:48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delays His coming, Mat 24:49 and shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken, Mat 24:50 the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he does not look for Him, and in an hour which he does not know. Mat 24:51 And He shall cut him apart and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
So you see, we hold onto the pure seed and wait on the Lord and He makes it happen. When we take things in our own power we only have the ability to screw it up. And again what is cast out, the beast of religion, self righteousness, and piety; all that will exalt itself above the knowledge of the Lord.
2Co 10:3 For though walking about in flesh, we do not war according to flesh. 2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, 2Co 10:5 pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ; 2Co 10:6 and having readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
2Co 10:7 Do you look at things according to appearance? If anyone has persuaded himself that he is Christ's, let him think this again as to himself, that as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's.
This went a lot deeper than what I intended. Radical, Praise the Lord.
Moving On:
Mat 25:30 And throw the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Prelude to:
Mat 25:14 For it is as if a man going abroad called his own servants and gave them his goods. Mat 25:15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his ability. And he went abroad at once. Mat 25:16 And going he who had received the five talents traded with them, and made another five talents. Mat 25:17 And likewise he who had received two, he also gained another two. Mat 25:18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the earth and hid his lord's silver. Mat 25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and took account with them. Mat 25:20 And so he who had received five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered five talents to me. Behold, I have gained five talents above them. Mat 25:21 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. Mat 25:22 He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered two talents to me. Behold, I have gained two other talents above them. Mat 25:23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. Mat 25:24 And he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. Mat 25:25 And I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth. Lo, you have yours. Mat 25:26 His lord answered and said to him, Evil and slothful servant! You knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not scatter, Mat 25:27 then you should have put my money to the exchangers, and coming I would have received my own with interest. Mat 25:28 Therefore take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents.
Ah yes, our famous works texts. God has given each one of us talents and we are to use these talents to do God’s work or else…… sound familiar?
Well if we look at this parable it is about money firstly and what we do with it and it not about what we do it is more about what we do not do.
If we look at the slothful servant, we see:
He knew the rules, He surely knew how the master worked
This was no dumb guy. He was lazy. Disinclined to work or exertion.
A scripture comes to mind:
Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls. Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Jas 1:23 For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror.…..
How do you measure up to these three dudes?
Oh I pay my tithes, my pastor must do it. Remember the movie “Little house of Horrors” the plant that said “Feed me” eh?
Are many Christians not in nappies still needing to be spoon fed? A parent will give what is good for a child but a stranger? Hmm, dangerous.
I read my bible an hour every day, I do this I do that I….I…..I…. there was another like you.
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed within himself in this way: God, I thank You that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-collector. Luk 18:12 I fast twice on the Sabbath, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Aah; the me myself and I trinity.
Luk 18:13 And standing afar off, the tax-collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but struck on his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner!
Remember the theme of what I said earlier, it is about Jesus and not about us.
Mat 25:29 For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will abound. But from him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him.
Mat 7:6 Do not give that which is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and tear you.
Remember holding onto the pure seed?
Mat 7:7 Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. Mat 7:8 For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened.
Aah, so here again it is not the sinner Jesus is speaking about, it is the religious dude again.
Mat 25:30 And throw the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 25:31 But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He shall sit on the throne of His glory.
I love this ending/beginning.
No it is NOT the rapture.
When does Jesus come in Glory? Where is His throne?
Remember us?
His throne is in the temple right? We are the temple no?
So He comes in glory not as a cloud surfer but as Master of our lives when we submit fully to Him.
Yeah but what about the angels?
OK
G32 ἄγγελος aggelos ang'-el-os From ἀγγέλλω aggellō (probably derived from G71; compare G34; to bring tidings); a messenger; especially an “angel”; by implication a pastor: - angel, messenger.
So we are not talking Celestial beings here, surely a pastor is no more special than you or I eh? We all have the great commission of Go!
Earlier we spoke about the sons of the Kingdom and we established the Kingdom has come or is established. So these angels are us collectively.
Mat 18:10 Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I say to you that in Heaven their angels always behold the face of My Father in Heaven.
Heb 13:1 Let brotherly love continue. Heb 13:2 Do not be forgetful of hospitality, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Heb 13:3 Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them, those who suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Same word and it speaks here of little children. The word evangelist is derived from the word angel and is a bringer of good tidings just as celestial angels. And entertaining stranger that are angels by no means celestial beings.
I have shown we can be thrown by a wrong interpretation and then a whole message is missed. Why would Jesus need to bring His angels to sit in Glory if He is bringing celestial beings?
Last one:
Luk 13:28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you will see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves being thrust out. Luk 13:29 And they will come from the east and the west, and from the north and the south, and will recline in the kingdom of God.
This ties in with the first instance I spoke of; again it toward the religious and the self righteous.
So the gnashers are the religious, the ones who should know better.
Now just as we know the sinner is forgiven and is reconciled by the blood of Jesus, when the righteous stands before the Lord, all he has, or did, his works will change to dust and fall as sand between his fingers.
The religious and sinner will stand before the Lord equally naked at the end of the day, likely the religious will realise he/she missed it just as the sinner missed it. When Jesus becomes All in all, then we really will have nothing to boast in, it is all about Jesus and what He did. Whatever we do, in His Righteousness, To Him be all the Glory.
When we do it “My way”, Jesus is not on the throne but the antichrist.
Blessings

I,I,I...You have written a good teaching here. Yes, ANYTHING that is done outside of Him and not in faith is sin. Praise Him that He still works in our hearts...and if we care to listen, He will expose our falsehoods and sins. It is truly painful to let His Spirit pierce and open up the heart, and clear out the cobwebs! If it had not happened to me, I most definately would have died. His refreshing love is like no other. To be humbled and corrected is a gift from above that should not be taken lightly.
Thank you for this teaching!
Blessings,
Forgiven. |

Thanks all for the comments.
My next study is on the hell and worm dieth not verses and I am sure we shall see the same pattern.
For those interested, Jesus only "cast out" two things in the NT, one was demons, the other was money changers. That IMO puts demons and religion on the same footing, why even the word demon can be seen in denomination. |
