THTMS Jason says ...
From the industrial park with twisty streets to the new "city" (as David Hocking put it in one of his visits), Calvary Chapel Chino Hills has always been different from your average church -- but different in a good way. Rock-solid Bible teaching, loving brothers and sisters, great times of fellowship and worship that draws you as close to Isaiah 6 as you're likely to ever be in a church setting, I have been proud and grateful to call CCCH my church home for the past 10 years -- which those who know me will likely realize goes back to when I was an unsaved teenager being dragged along to church by a loving mother. Being dragged along to get her off my back about going to church with her. But that was only until I listened to Jack. :)
Pastor Jack spooked me with how much like me he was, how our mids worked the same quirky way, how we both would probably be diagnosed with ADD if we ever went to get tested for it...he presented the Bible in a way I had never heard before, and it intrigued me, even before I was saved. I was living like most teenage males I knew -- translation: wretched sinner lol -- but I kept getting dragged to church on Sunday morning. But I'd never been to a Calvary Chapel before....these hep fogies wore shorts, sandals and hawaiian shirts, not like ANYone I'd seen in church before.
Anyways, if you've been at CCCH for any significant length of time, you know what I'm talking about. If you've never been, come fellowship with us! It's probably as close to "the twelve being discipled by Jesus on the seashore" as I've ever experienced.
Look forward to fellowshipping with you all!
In His service, and yours,
jason
