I'm just another guy trying to make his way through life with God's help.
I have a wonderful wife (Barbara), two great girls (Rachel & Shana), and an energetic Black Lab (Midnite), so I'm a man who lives in a female world.
I guess I'm somewhat of a paradox because most people know me as the hand-shaking, back-slapping, hugging, hold your baby kind of guy who's always circulating in public. Actually, I'm an introvert who greatly prefers the world of ideas, imagination, and solitude.
I've always had a hunger to know how things work; how people, events, and things fit together; and why people and things are the way they are. When you link those characteristics with an introverted temperament - what you get is someone who's extremely analytical. I love talking about vision and theories but at the end of the day, I don't have much use for things that aren't practical - things that don't really make a difference in my life or the lives of others.
I'm an eclectic who looks everywhere for inspiration and insight and I particularly love to reflect on the Bible in light of popular culture and history.
Oh yeah, I'm an avid golfer - my wife would say a "golf snob". I love golf because for me, it's like life - you can never truly master it - or as Bagger Vance said: "Golf is game that can't be won, only played".
