Approximately 25 years ago, Christian Faith Fellowship Family Church held its first service in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn, in Middletown, New York. May 10, 1982 was a monumental beginning for Pastor Joe McKelvey, his family, and forty anxious visitors. Over the next year and a half, the congregation grew to a solid group of 200, including children and teenagers. However, the monotony of renting a facility and hauling all the church belongings to the motel twice a week proved tiresome. It was time to find a building to call home. It was in January of 1984 that CFF purchased 10 East Main Street and began the arduous transformation that was needed. At the grand opening, only the first and second floors had been reconstructed. However, as the church grew, more space was needed to house the great influx of children and teenagers. As a Family Church, CFF has spent much time, energy, and money into developing an exemplary youth program. Building strong families continues to be the vision of this church. In February 1998, 18-24 East Main Street was purchased and renovated due to the continued growth of the teen ministry. With 7300 square feet, this building was also used as a fellowship hall, teen activity center, and additional meeting space. As the church continued to grow and thrive, it became apparent that a larger facility was needed. Every classroom was filled to capacity, and every foot from basement to the third floor was being used for the ministry. It was time to build. In September 2005, CFF moved to our current facility at 510 M & M Road. Through the years, God has moved mightily through this ministry with hundreds each year giving their hearts to the Lord. Now we have over 2500 people attending regularly. We believe Christian Faith Fellowship Family Church will continue to be a strong anchor in the Middletown area where people from all walks of life will be able to find love, joy, and peace.
