Linda,
I wanted to ask you to be praying about our finances.
It is really hard at times,
To sacrifice from the things you like,
To not being able to help others when in need.

Also to let you know that Bernice is going to help me with making Invitations for Melissa's Graduation Party. It will be in June. We are leaving the 25th for the Adirondacks and coming back the 26th in the evening.

Melissa will be taking her license test soon, and CPR is this Monday. Please pray we both pass our tests.

The trip was great and we got to see the Pope and the President being driven into the Whitehouse by the CIA'S and the police escorts too. It was AWESOME!!!!

Hi Linda,

We are actively working with Catholic Family Center to start taking in Karen refugees. We have even extended that to let them know we will not refuse other countries children. Jerri Lynn had a great idea and that is to open up our attic (300 sq ft) and make it a large bedroom with a couple beds. We would have to get the bats and bees out, dry wall, floor and so forth. It's going to be a huge project for us mostly because I can't do these things like I used to.

You seem to have power behind your prayers. I have more recently been praying for God to restore my health and take away some of the pain from my fibromyalgia so I can take care of my family and possible foster children.

Could you please keep this situation in your prayers. I can't do physical labor easily anymore and if I do I pay for it for a week or more. I need to be able to do this project and I'm not sure if I'll hold up to it. Once it's done we'll be set up, but I'm worried the kids may come to us quickly and we won't be prepared.

Thanks Linda, God Bless.

Hi Linda,

I'd like to start out by saying thank you for all of your prayers. I'm sure you like feedback though when prayer works, not that it should suprise us, but it's always nice to hear.

I have been brought up to believe that you should pray and ask God for money. Taking that literally I actually never have. Though, I have been praying for the past couple weeks for a raise a work. Just a few days ago my boss told me I've been doing a great job at work and he was increasing my pay.

So then, feeling very grateful and thankful to God, I continued to pray for financial security, and Jerri Lynn said you also prayed at bible study for everyone's financial security. I've also been praying for more knowledge and accuracy in my work. Then my boss gives me a MAJOR project with a short deadline and I felt like I had to learn Greek in a week. I didn't know a thing about the task he gave me, and someone I pulled through it with ease.

Then, yesterday my boss told me he was amazed how well I took on the project and it saved his certification wiith a major agency associated with his business. Then he proceeded to tell me he was making a few changes around there and one of them was a promotion for me to management with a salary and benefits. I'm now in a secure position with a guarentee of a 40 hr paycheck in a
society where people are fearing a recession and losing their jobs to cut backs and layoffs.

I have never felt so grateful to a church for their power of prayer and commitment to their members spiritual advancement. I feel God has blessed me with a wonderful family and church that I feel very committed to both. God only continues to bless me even though sometimes......well most of the times I feel unworthy.

Thought you would like to know.

God Bless
Rocky

Linda,

Jerri Lynn and I have really felt a strong sense of belonging since we've started attending the church. I just want to thank you and Pastor Kent for all your prayers and support through all our hard times. More recently I feel there is something "more" in our lives, and it gives me a strength I could not have gotten anywhere else and I've needed for quite some time. You and Pastor Kent are such great people and we're so glad we have you in our lives.

God Bless you both
