Valentines day is coming up and i hope that everyone has gotten their sweetie something nice, or at least some candy to get their mind off of the junk u may have gotten them. JK JK, well the bible says in 1 corinthians- love is patient and love is kind, so be patient and kind with ur loved ones this valentines day

Do you see those signs around Christmas time that say "Merry Xmas"? And when people write you a Christmas card do they tend to get lazy and write "Merry Xmas"? When people do that, it frustrates me. On Christmas we're celebrating the day that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior was born...............................NOT the letter X.
Think about that the next time you write a Christmas card around the holidays, or go to hang up decorations. Do you really want to get lazy and start celebrating a holiday for the letter X? Think about it.

Last night (November 3rd, 2007) My family and I were at the Fredericksburg field house. My younger sister had an end of the season soccer party and we had a srimmage that players and coaches verses the parents and siblings (parents and siblings won 10-9) we finished our scrimmage around 8 o'clock. As we finished so did a few flag football teams. I went to get a drink and was caught in the middle of them but after went into the party room. we were going to leave 5 minutes later.
Someone had told us all to stay in the room when we were ready to leave, so we did. my dad went outside because he was thirsty and wanted a drink so he got my sister and i one too because we couldn't leave my room. Someone else told us that two flag football teams had had an argument and were mad at each other. One man from one of the teams was trying to leave and had people jumping on his car as he was doing so, another man decided to pull out a gun. I'm pretty sure no one was shot but there were many bullets lying on the ground when we left. We were lucky because we had parked two rows away from the all of the chaos and were allowed to leave; some of our other friends though were stuck because if they backed out they'd be running over "the evidence" as the police officer told them. We saw 6 people get arrested. Once we left the field house parking lot there were two sherrifs by the stop light and the wawa in front of the field house with two people hand cuffed and sitting on the sidewalk by a drain. They already had two people in the back of the cop car and hopefully no more. One officer was searching the car. There was a young woman on the side with a young man, they couldn't have been much older than twenty, they were the two in handcuffs. My dad told us that the girl sitting there was probably innocent and just decided to hang out with the wrong crowd.
Choose who your friends are very wisely. You could get in a lot of trouble if you don't!

In 1959 Brown vs. The Board of Education ruled that the racial segregation of students in all public schools was not allowed. In Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia there were 2 schools combined to form TC Williams High School. If you have ever seen the movie "Remember the Titans" you know this story.
The group of boys wanting to play football at TC Williams black and white had to go to camp in Pennsylvania for a few weeks. The boys had to room with someone of a different race, the boys didn't get along at first, but over time coaches Bill Yoast and Herman Boone got the boys to get along as well as doing so themselves. After camp the boys had finally started to get to know each other and they acted as a team, not caring what their races were. By the first day of school everyone else was against bussing and desegregation.
Gerry Bertier was captain of the TC Williams Titans and Julius Campbell was his roommate at camp. The 2 boys started to get along better and eventually became good friends.
TC Williams had won every game in the 1971 football season when Gerry and Julius played and on the night of their final win Gerry had left the football game after party and was hit by a drunk driver.
He was paralyzed from the waist down in that accident. The titans ended up winning their final game though and won the state tital!
10 years later Gerry died in yet abother accident with what i believe to be yet another drunk driver. The titans were together again 10 years after breaking the racial barrier in Virginia forever!
LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!
These boys learned the meaning of that from Bill Yoast and Herman Boone for playing with the titans in 1971.

In February it'll have been 2 years since Mr. Richard Lee Potter of Fredericksburg, VA died. Mr. Potter was a pilot, a Wake Forest University Alum, and a friend of a my fathers. Mr. Potter had taken my parents to a few Wake Forest basketball games one college baseketball season. One night in February of 2006 Wake Forest was playing a home basketball game in Winston Salem, NC. Mr. Potter actually invited both of my parents to go. my father was going to go, and my mother had a meeting. My mom had promised my sister that she would take her to multi-cultural night at her school, but because she had the meeting she couldn't go so my dad had to call Mr. Potter and tell him that he would not be able to go to the game with him that night. so mr. potter called up some other friends to go with him to the game. it was a small private airplane that he piloted it only had 4 seats. so he took 4 guests. it was a foggy night but they made it to Winston Salem alright. after the game the fog had gotten more dense, but Mr. Potter and the other 4 men on that plane left to come home. Mr. Potter usually kept his plane at Shennadoah Airport near the Fredericksburg Country Club and General Motors in Fredericksburg. he tried to land the plane there but couldn't because of the fog and a road that runs near the airport, so he got permission to land his plane at Stafford Airport just a few miles away. there are trees around stafford airport and mr.potter although a great pilot made a fatal error. he tried to land and went too soon. he hit the trees causing a tremedous crash and killing all the men on the plane. a few week s before my parents had gone to Winsotn Salem for a home game at Wake Forest and got my sister and I t-shirts and bracelets like the livestrong bracelets, but they said Wake Forest on them with a small picture of a Demon Deacon on it. I wear that bracelet every day to remind me that when God needs me, he will take me. I think that night God was in grave need of good angels to help him in Heaven. A few days later though at the sight of the plane crash they found everything around where the plane had crashed burned and very hard to see..............but they found Mr. Potter's wedding ring. That reminds me that making a commitment can change your life. for example my father going with my sister because of a promise, mr. Potter's wedding ring being found as a sign of promise fr eternal love to his wife. I am very grateful thatmy parents weren't taken in that plane crash- they're work here on earth isn't quite finished.
I was 10 years old at the time of the airplane crash. ever since i have been a TRUE christian. that airplane crash also changed my fathers life dramatically. he read the whole bible after that and has decided to work out every morning to make himself stronger. my father has also tried earning extra money so that when he's gone we will have something that he worked for to give us. I love my parents and especially my daddy. and i would miss him so much if he were gone right now. God has a plan for my dad and i am grateful for that!

For all of you pilots out there, please be careful while flying, i also have a cousin who's flight instructor died in an airplane crash. She has since quit flying altogether. PLEASE BE CAREFUL, but when God needs you, your fate is in his hands!
