| Interests Chuck Garcia entered into the Royal Rangers ministry in April 1983 as a Trail Balzer Recruit, and worked up to the rank of Advanced Rating when he was appointed Jr. Commander by Senior Commander Tom Siddle in November 1986. After 1 1/2 years as a Jr. Commander, Chuck was appointed Lt. Commander in March 1988 by the same Senior Commander.
After a 10 year hiatus, Valley Bible Fellowship re-chartered Royal Rangers and Chuck was appointed Senior Comander on March 7, 1998. This new charter brought in a new generation of boys who were about to be introduced a new adventure in their lives. Chuck remained in this position through May 7, 2006 when the church de-activated the Outpost. In addition, he was appointed Area Commander and Section Staff officer in December 2003. In June 2008, he was assigned to the General Staff of the Southern California District Royal Rangers.
Chuck has completed Ranger BASICS, National Training Camp, Advanced National Training Camp, the Leaders' Training Academy, District Leadership Training Course, and the Certified Instructor Course. He has earned and/or is authorized to wear the District Meritorious Service Award, District Outstanding Service Medal (3rd Award), Blue Cluster Medal (4th year Award), Senior Commander Medal (4th Year Award), Outpost Commander Medal (2nd Award), Leadership Service Medal (6th year Award), LMA (Gold), LMA (Blue), LMA (Red), Special Service Medal, and numerous ribbons related to teaching merits to the boys.
Chuck is married to Nancy, and has 2 sons, Charles Raymond Garcia III ("Charlie") and David Timothy Garcia. |
