Video 6 of 7  |  Posted by Byron PorterPrevious  Next
Gerald
Now if preachers would preach this and believers would believers and ACT on this, we might be a Christian nation again!
Lara Leger
The dude is right on. Doesn\'t come across unloving or arrogant, only passionate for truth.
Debbie
I totally agree with Gerald and Lara. When he was talking about preaching this guy into Heaven, I immediately tho\'t back to Michael Jackson, George Tiller, the Killer, and Ted Kennedy. I agree with this guy 100%.

Thank God there\'s baptist preachers with there eyes open to the false teachings of eternal security. You can\'t live wrong and die right. Unloving and arrogant has no place in the pulpit, but these wimps that will not cry out against are very loving. They smile you right into hell, I\'m alright and your alright. We must be born again. Ask: Why Would A Holy God Let You Into His Heaven? Why Should You Have A Right To The Tree of Life? We Must Offend People Who Need It. Need It. Need It !

We youtubed this guy and watched an hour long sermon by him...IT WAS EXCELLENT! Then we watched a clip that was interviewing him about the message...it was worth the time. We felt like we\'d \"been to church\".
Old Man of The North
An absolutely brilliant and truthful sermon. More of this stuff needs to be heard to WAKE PEOPLE UP.

Has anyone considered where Joel\'s heart may be in all this? God sees the heart. Is anyone praying for him? Just looking to go beyond the surface. I like at least that this one didn\'t put all the blame for what he sees wrong on the overseers. Yes, they may be held more accountable but we are all first and foremost accountable to God. So, that is refreshing because all too often I don\'t hear that. Nothing wrong with speaking up when we see something amiss in a doctrine, just feel we need to be cautious about heart matters. We can be more right in doctrine and more wrong at heart.

Something to prayerfully consider.
Love in Him,

Debbie, you really don\'t want to hear my opinion of this guy and the other fakes on TV.
Debbie
I hear you, Goldie!
Evangelist Herman Tranter
This is certainly something to think about and look in God\'s Word to see it it be so for ourselves... Only God sees the heart but we need to be alert to what may be going on in Christian circles today and if our chrisitan Ministers are really preaching the Bible... Perhaps too many Christians just do not care anymore and are caught up in pleasures and blessings???

Blessings In Him... :o)

Keeping The Faith
We are not to judge....as there have always been false doctrines and people of such God knows our hearts and those of any preacher on tv or not on tv.
Ian Grant Spong
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged...Watch out for false prophets." (Matthew 7:1,15) Sounds to me like we must judge some things.

It takes a lot more strength to swim against the current like the salmon. We sit in our pews on Sunday morning or have our \"youth groups\" and our \"family fun days\" and pride ourselves for being good, strong Christians all the while we are swimming WITH the current of the world. Thank God for men like Paul Washer who are willing to compassionately use the BIble to show us that we are not reflecting WHO we think we are reflecting. Great video and so desperately needed.

You know I don\'t know too much about him but as I felt the Lord showing me some things on Him I began to pay attention for myself. I don\'t agree with everything He says but I do find him wonderfully encouraging and I even feel encouraged by him. He also seems to know about meat, but just moves beyond it to the treasures on the other side. Haven\'t heard him define treasures so much as material things but you know I don\'t listen to much of anyone so I don\'t know.

This is what really impressed me about him was when I caught a portion of an interview on Larry King. Sure there was an area I didn\'t care for, this part was really impressive. Larry asked him what he thought of all the criticism on his teachings and stuff. He responded something to the effect of how he was just doing what God called him to do. He said God may have called others to something else but he was doing what God called him to do and that is why he feels he has been successful.

Now this is why it was so impressive to me. I a trend that I keep seeing within the body of Christ. I see someone or groups with portions and they seem to feel they have the whole and communicate it more as a whole. No, the whole is Jesus. Portions are just branches that need to find there home in Jesus.

From what he said I got the impression he knows he\'s a portion, but many don\'t know that so instead it turns into an ugly food fight instead of a wholesome meal.

Like I said, I don\'t watch too much of anyone but I like to catch him when I catch him because although some things he says I don\'t necessarily agree with, or wish he\'d elaborate, He is wonderfully encouraging for me and others I know and we can use that. Lately I been grieved with all the talk of what is wrong with the body of Chirst. Even those that seem to be pulling away from that seem now to be doing the same thing and for me it is very discouraging to always here what is wrong. Just saying I personally can appreciate the encouragement and now find myself wondering how many of our perceptions into such things are shaped by others opinions or have we looked into it ourselves. Where I see we have failed as the body of Christ as a whole is taking the Holy Spirit\'s role of leading. And I still see this going on. We can teach our portion but we have to let the Holy Spirit do the leading in each life. And sure, He can give an outward word first but the Holy Spirit lives in us and will confirm his voice within.

So again, just sharing the partial view I have from this end.
