Well the youth are off for camp. They left from the church shortly before 10:00 am this morning on their way to the Charleston Southern University campus in Charleston for a week of Bible teaching, worship, service time, and fun at M-Fuge. We'll use this spot to post any updates received throughout the week. Parents, feel free to add updates you receive from your kids.

| Our campers arrived safely in Charleston around 3:00 pm, after a lunch stop near Columbia, SC. They are now checked in and getting settled into their rooms. At 5:00 pm they'll be in full camp mode with dinner and opening evening activities. They will receive their ministry track assignmenst this evening and tomorrow will be a full day of study, worship, and service, with some time for fun as well. |

| The first full day of camp is well underway. Groups will be returning from ministry tracks shortly and they'll be sharing their stories with each other this evening. In case you're interested, here's what everyone is doing.
Rebecca, Alan and Harmony are doing the Social Ministry Track.
We have youth in two groups in the Creative Ministry Track.
Dale, Nolan, and Alyssa are in a group.
Krissy and Nick are in another group.
We have youth in 3 groups for the Children's Ministry Track.

| Apparently on the guys hall, someone has come through each morning with a wake up "call" at 6:30, a fog horn followed by a lovely serenade. This morning they got "rise and shine and give God the glory". No oversleeping! |

| That's how I wake my kids they 'LOVE' it, just ask them how much they LOVE that song. HEE HEE HEE!! (evil chuckle) |

| No new pictures today. Everyone is settling into the week. The kids are definitely building bonds between each other. Ken had to get on stage last night, but he managed to escape any major embarrassing moments. Tonight is a free night for churches to do something together. I believe the current plan is to go into downtown Charleston for sightseeing and some dinner. |

| I didn't hear from anyone yesterday, I hope that means that they went to sleep at a decent time instead of calling home, I could tell on Wed that they needed some sleep, at least my girls did. Trust me you don't want to be around Krissy with less than 8-10 sleep. |

| Yesterday morning Ken got called back up on stage during opening celebration for "dance" contest. In the afternoon they went into downtown Charleston for church free time and went to the market area, the Battery and Mellow Mushroom for dinner. I've got a few pictures to post. The closing evening service ran late as well as their church devotion time to close the night. It was well after 11:00 before anyone got to their rooms. Most of the kids are running on empty by now, after operating full strength all day and getting at most 6-7 hours of sleep a night. Alex wacked his head on a tree limb last night, but is doing fine today from what I hear. Ken ended last night with everyone in good spirits and really enjoying their camp experiences. Tonight they will have the final "mega" relay event that was a major hit with the kids last year. |
