for years I was a silent seeker, I tested many churches, to see if the message they were teaching or sharing spoke to me. Sometimes it did, usually it said something like, "RUN RUN AWAY"!! More often than not, I would go a few times and the more I went, the more I noticed how judgemental and hypocritical the members were. So I would stop going, I knew what I needed and that it would not be found there. Then we moved to Arkansas, (not where I wanted to be, "the Bible Belt", really not my cup of tea!) By now I felt churches were all the same so anytime religion was mentioned I did my best to avoid, redirect or ignore inquiries, that is, until I met the Bowies(amazing people-lots of patience, persistence and faith) and so...(many invites later) I was redirected... to my church home. It feels good to be growing in and into my faith.
