Thank you all for your prayers for our little niece Kira. She was able to come home from the hospital tonight. She is alert and able to drink and eat a little. Fever is still coming and going but she is improving. Going back to the doctor in the morning to make sure she stays on track. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers and I will keep you updated. God bless you all and I love you

I enjoy the fellowship, the preaching, and the truly warm spirit that is shown, to each other, and to visitors. It is a rather small congregation, but very big in spirit and love for your fellow man. The dress is casual, and this makes for a more comfortable
atmosphere. If you're looking for a church home, and enjoy being taught about the bible, please come visit us. We believe if it's in the bible, that settles it !!

I agree with Heidi whole heartedly!! It's very ironic how Billy and I came to the church. I had been saved and baptised at Central Baptist Church in Brandon and was a very active member. Like a lot of people, when my marriage to Robbie's father began to deteriorate, I withdrew from everything. I was hurt that no one from the church called or came to see me, not even the pastor reached out to me. I was told later by another member that it was because I wasn't in a Sunday School class. At any rate, I chose to be mad at Mike (Robbie's dad), the members of the church, and God. I felt truly under attack and quit church altogether. I then became a "seasonal" attendee. You know, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas and Easter. When I met Billy, his dad Dwight was in prison. Dwight and I corresponded regularly and he began sharing with me his views on how he was glad he got sent to prison because that's what turned his life around. Because he had changed so much, and Billy and I both, from personal experience, feel like anyone can make a comeback given the opportunity, will, and perseverance, we told Dwight he could come live with us. He expressed an interest in continuing to go to church. So, we decided that we would "sacrifice" our Sunday mornings to take him. I think a higher power was at work!! Anyway, in July 2006, as we sat in church Pastor Jerry asked for those who wanted to pray the sinner's prayer, or those that had strayed from church and wanted to give their hearts back to Jesus, to raise their hand. We didn't realize it at the time, but Billy and I both had. Pastor Jerry then said, "Now, I'm going to ask you to do something that takes courage. If you raised your hand, I'm going to ask you to come up here and pray". I whispered over to Billy "I raised my hand". He whispered back "I did too". So, we walked up together. I remember my mom and dad coming up and praying and crying over us. It's not been an easy walk, and we have a longer walk ahead but we both feel that we are well on our way from the mistakes and bad choices we were making not that very long ago. The good news is we have the rest of our life to grow and become better Christians. God blessed me with my biological family first and foremost. My family has always been there for me through everything. It was because of them, and God, that I am who I am today. God blessed me with a wonderful husband. I know I'm not the perfect wife and Billy is truly patient with me (as much as humanly possible!!!). God has also blessed me with a wonderful church family. Billy and I feel very comfortable with all of you. We can laugh, joke, praise, and give Him glory and not feel like we're being judged. I can't wait for the picnic coming up!!! See you all on Wednesday. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!

Why I love My Church! About four years ago, my family met Pastor Jerry. He didn’t know anything about us. He opened his heart and without making us feel ashamed, embarrassed or afraid he simply said; Yes, I can help. Only God knew that our families struggle was about to lead us to some of the most wonderful people I have ever known. People who love the Lord with all their heart, who love you just the way you are. When we walk in the doors of Impact Ministries and into the house of God, we know we are welcome, wanted, and we have family waiting to see us. Our church family has become like our real family. We truly are delighted to see each person and if someone is hurting, we all hurt and if someone needs prayer, we all pray and if someone rejoices, we all rejoice. I thank God for Pastor Jerry’s understanding, love, his willingness to help those in need, and for his desire to see souls saved. With God and the help of his servants like Pastor Jerry, and all of Impact Ministries, my family has a heart-safe, uplifting environment where we are free to worship Christ and learn the true word of God. We love you Impact and thank you for loving us back!
