The kids visiting from Mississippi for Backyard Bible Club are great & we are glad that we are helping out! Plus families we haven't met in our neighborhood are coming over too :)

I became a member of RFB in July of 2000. I met some really great friends during my first weeks there including my future husband, Jim. Thank you Bro. Bob and Mary for pointing me to the right Sunday School class when you visited with me 8 years ago. Thanks RFB for loving a sinner and opening your doors to people single/divorced moms and loving them. When I was searching for the right church RFB had its doors wide open. I have always felt like I was home. I have met so many wonderful people at RFB and grown so much since becoming part of this church. I really enjoy having the opportunity to teach VBS. I have had the pleasure of teaching GAs and watching many of the girls I taught come to know Christ. Since joining in 2000 my sister and my parents have all moved their memberships to RFB.

We have heard that the New Orleans mission team is there and has begun work. They are helping two different homes, and the people are excited to have them there. The team from our church is sleeping in a church building. They said that you would have to see New Orleans to understand how great the need still is.

Remember to pray for the 13 church members going to New Orleans this week on a mission trip. They are participating in Operation NOAH (New Orleans Area Housing) to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Music & Senior Adult Minister Greg Hartzog is leading the trip. Student Minister Jason McNair is also on the trip.

 

Please remember to be in prayer for all of our children in the Effingham Schools as we prepare for the CRCT test-grades 1-8 on April 21-25,2008.  We will be gearing them up for the tests this week and the following week they will take the CRCT test.  Please also pray for all teachers and that God will guide and direct us as we administer the tests!  Thank you!
