Desert Breeze Community Church exists to provide a place where unchurched people can become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Goals
At Desert Breeze we wish to do nothing "for religious effect" but rather to operate in natural, low-key, "non-hype" patterns that are real and non-threatening.

We aim to speak, act and dress in ways in which our culture can respond positively. We reflect this through our casual dress, soft-rock music and low-key approach to finances.

In order to become fully devoted followers of Christ we encourage and provide for growth through the following four stages of Christian maturity: The Genuine Christian, The Growing Christian, The Giving Christian and The Going Christian.

Genuine Christian
The starting point is to acknowledge our need for a relationship with God and to recognize that Jesus is the way to have that relationship. Through confession of sin and the Lordship of Christ we become Genuine Christians and become part of the family of God.
"...To all who receive Him (Jesus), to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God..." John 1:12

Growing Christian
Through the inspiration and teaching of the weekend services and the fellowship and teaching in small groups, we grow in our knowledge and love of God. We also grow through personal Bible study and prayer.
"Continue to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 3:18

Giving Christian
Christians who have learned to give their time, talents (abilities) and treasures to God by channeling them through a local church are expressing a greater understanding of what God has accomplished in their life.
"God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other." 1 Peter 4:10
"There are different kinds of service to God...together you form the body of Christ and each one of you is a necessary part if it." 1 Corinthians 12:5,27

Going Christian
The full measure of a Christian is when we see beyond the four walls of the local church to do what we can to reach the unbeliever with the message of the good news of Jesus Christ.
"Go, then, to all people everywhere and make them my disciples..." Matthew 28:19
