The Salvation Army church of Akron, Ohio, is committed to two things: Loving God and Loving people. We discover and learn about God through a commitment to studying the Bible, which we believe to be inspired by Him. We believe that the Bible reveals that we can come to know God through a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus. We believe the Bible also teaches us how to love each other.

This site is dedicated to encouraging each other in the faith and in seeking to grow closer to each other and to God. Our prayer is that the relationships nurtured on this site will lead to closer relationships in person. We come together for worship each Sunday at 11:00 AM. This is preceded with Bible classes for all ages starting at 9:45 AM. Additional gatherings for study and service are outlined below on the chuch calendar.

If your interested, go to this web-site for info on an faith based addictions program. It is three houses up from us in Northfield every Fri 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Addresses all addictions, not just drugs and alcohol (re: food, porn, etc...). Not a stand up and tell everyone your problems type of setting. Can share if you want. Small group break out. Kids program is awesome! They learn the same 12 principles for living by to keep them from addictive behaviors as they grow up. 75% success rate for those who complete the 8 month program. IT"S FREE. Anyone interested in attending, see Daryl. Have to talk to Captain yet, but we may be able to use the van to transport. Every Fri, rain or shine, even on holidays. Very supportive. www.reformu.com

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. Monday, July 14th at 1:30pm will be our official kick-off of "The Good News Games". Please keep this special week in prayer. Pray for the safety of our students and leaders as well as prayer for the Holy Spirit to etch the truths of Jesus Christ upon our hearts and minds.
