What I love about this church...

Hollie and Jay
Hollie and Jay says ...
Concentrate on this sentence

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.  Concentrate on this sentence..... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Cpt Murphrey we need to remember this so badly right now.

Father, I pray that You will cover us with Your loving arms, comfort us, and silence our complaints so that we can see what is good and right...Help us to compliment one another on our strengths and shower loving kindness upon one another becasue we are all ETERNAL friends in You.  We thank you for the blessings you have bestowed upon us.

In Jesus Christ Name,

Amen
John
John says ...

"To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing."        1 Peter 3:8,9

This is regarding the story that linda posted

I have absolutely no idea BUT, I have seen similiar things happen countless times coaching special olympics softball and arranging scrimage games with regular teams in Nevada and Washington both.  Things are very different for special needs kids in the public schools compared to how they were when we were growing up.  Gone are the days of children with multiple dissabilities being segregated, they are now fully included if its safe for them and the other children.  Even the most severe have classrooms right along side of regular student classes and most get to spend sometime is a regular class like music or PE or Art.  Students are nowhere near as timid or afraid to be in contact with someone with disabilities as they where when you and I were growing up.  Maybe we are evolving as a human race after all???  I liked the story and I thought you would too. Its a great testament and learnign experience for children to be exposed to others with disablities at a very young age before preconcieved notions form and prejudices take root.

I never want you to think that I am pushing you or anyone else in any particular direction, its just fun for me to share ideas about the human spirit with others that i love.  Hug the kids for me.

I've never had this many issues haha. Please write me and tell me what i am doing wrong, I've even tried more than one code in case the code was bad?

Hello, everyone from Lawton,  you are my home corps!  I know almost everyone is gone from the mid-70's but that is when I was there, with Major and Mrs. Dan Delaney.  I love this corps. I had a lot of great friends in the YPL in those days.   Someone please, write me and catch me up!  Love & Prayers, Lee Ann Nelson
