My Path
Hey! I'm Steve, born Steven Jay Davis to Jay & Stacy Davis, who
are still happily married. I have one brother, Mike, 4 years my junior.
I was born and raised in Antioch, CA, where I lived until I was 20,
and then moved to Hayward, CA for school, and I've been there ever
since. I went to Deer Valley High School, which I try to repress as
much as possible (hated it). I graduated 104th out of 620 with a 3.5
GPA, and got a 1330 on my SAT's, which was basically pointless because
I started off my post high school career at Diablo Valley College.
After 2 years there I transfered to CSU Hayward in 2002, where I
subsequently spent 3 of the best years of my life, and graduated in
June, 2000 with a BA in Art, specializing in Digital Graphics.
I started my career path as a web designer at Lawrence Livermore
National Lab. My uncle has been working there for 20+ years, and as
they say "It's all about who ya know." I started there a year before I
graduated as summer intern in June, 2004. Then I kept my foot in the
door by working there once a week during my last year of college, and
then got a position as a web designer for the Institutional Web Team,
where I made a nice chunk of change until I was laid off a year later
for budget reasons. I was unemployed for about 4 months until I got a
job with GA Communications in Livermore, CA. I am 1 of 2 web designers
they have, working mostly on Safeway's websites and some of Longs and
OSH's work as well, along with some other smaller clients. It's ok. I
don't get paid nearly as much as I did at the lab, but I like my
coworkers more and I'm not as bored at work, so it's good for
experience.

My Character
I am not your average guy to say the least. I am 5'8", kinda short
for a white guy, among a brother and cousins who top 6'2". I grew up a
short dorky kid, and was made fun of a lot, but it kept me humble and
help me develop my killer sense of humor. I like to makes jokes, goof
around, and just generally do things out of the ordinary. I pride
myself on my ability to love others and to just in general be a great
friend.

My Lady
I am a gentleman. They come first. I open doors, pull out chairs,
etc... My parents raised me right, so you can give them all the credit.
I am sensitive to others' feelings so I can usually notice when someone
is feeling down and do what I can to help. I see myself as a pretty
good guy, not too possessive, and not taking the girl for granted. I
treat my girl right, and when I'm wrong, I'll admit it and work things
out. |
