About Me

I was born on a farm (no, not in a barn)in Adams County, Indiana--the youngest of 6 children. My parents were Christians, but I chose to follow my own ways until my first marriage fell apart. It was then that I became a Christian. The Lord brought a best friend into my life who became my husband, and we've been married over 20 years now. We have 3 married children and 11 grandchildren--all of whom are Christians, and we thank God for that!

Interests

Of course I love to be creative at sewing! I also like to read. I enjoy the beauty of the flowers and bushes we've planted and do my best to keep them healthy. I love to worship the Lord--especially in the corporate setting--I guess God had me prepared for being on the dance team years ago! I also love to sing. And I enjoy talking about the Lord--both with believers and unbelievers.

Movies

The recent version of The Parent Trap is a favorite. The first 2 Crocidile Dundee films were good--love those Aussies! Several Harrison Ford movies are favorites--The Fugitive, & Clear & Present Danger. The Pelican Brief with Julia Roberts is also a good one.

Music

Contemporary Christian music is my favorite. Paul Wilber, Terry MacAlmon, Roger Thrower (from Cleansing Stream Ministries), and Hillsong are some I like best because they bring a person into worship so easily. I like the type of music that talks "TO" God rather than "ABOUT" God because it's so much more personal and more prone to produce worship.

Books

The Bible, of course, is my favorite--it never gets old!! Anything by E. W. Kenyon is excellent--very positive with lots of scripture. Kenneth Copeland & Kenneth Hagin are also favorites.

Television

Funniest Home Videos and all the springoffs from that show. I like the History Channel, and I enjoy watching movies.

hi there sweet tart! ;) i have some different containers to display streamers, how long are the dowels on a streamer? i don't have any glass marbles to put in bottom though...but i think the streamers idea is great! i found the fire flag sunday..it was on the other side. as for leaving your things @ church over the weekend, that's pretty smart, but if it was me i would leave them in the bookstore or put up somewhere. there's going to be a lot of people coming and going between fri-mon and i would hate to see them get messed up. gotta run! luv ya ~Sharon
