I grew up in and lived in Fort Wayne, IN until I was 25. I moved to Grand Rapids, MI to take a sales position with Motorola Communications. I moved to Paw Paw, MI for my job and lived there until 1982. I moved to Sarasota until 1985 and moved to Atlanta where I was self employed. In 1995 I moved back to Sarasota, FL.

Mr. Rooks was the Director of Construction Management. He has worked directly with and taught thousands of construction executive, supervisors, project managers and estimators. Every year he continues to instruct in publicly held courses. He is known across North America as an expert consultant and speaker on; heavy equipment, management, truck and fleet management, construction project management supervision skills, productivity, quality, and personnel management techniques.
While many of his engagements are in North America, he has worked with managers in eight-two different countries. He regularly addresses various national trade organizations and leading construction companies across the country each year.
