Originally I am from the city of Weirton, WV and currently am living in Hendersonville, TN with my wife. We are expecting our first daughter to be born in June of this year. I grew up attending The Salvation Army Corps in Weirton and until last year attended the Nashville Citadel Corps. Within the last year my family and I have searched for a new place to call our church home, but have yet to find a place that fits the needs that both of us have. I have experienced a wide variety of worship since then, ranging from the church that celebrated for the sake of celebration (I left when the worship leader started doing church member business endorsements), to churches that were very formal and stiff because the appearance of the broadcast seemed to be more important than the moving of the spirit. But our search continues, and hopefully before too much longer I will be able to post a home church for myself and family. For the record, I still very much consider myself to be a Salvationist and I will always see the Articles of War I signed when I became a soldier to be like the vow someone who became a Nazarite Priest took in Old Testament times. |
