VERSE: “And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body…he did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform…” (Romans 4:19-21 NKJV).

THOUGHTS: Abraham, who is known as our father in the faith, had many obstacles coming against the promise of God in his life. God told him that he would be “the father of many nations.” Abraham was over 90 years old before he ever saw that promise begin to come to pass. This scripture tells us that He didn’t consider his body. He didn’t think and meditate on all the reasons he couldn’t be the father of many nations. No, he considered and thought about the strength and ability of God! He thought about God’s faithfulness and gave praise and glory to Him! That faith that Abraham exercised enabled God to move on His behalf and fulfill the promise in His life. What are you believing God for? Does it seem impossible? Has it taken a long time? Consider your God. Consider His Word. Consider His faithfulness. Just like Abraham, you’ll grow strong in faith as you give glory to God. Your faith will open the door for God to move in your life, and you will experience the victory He has in store for you!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and strength at work in my life today. I choose to consider Your ability over my circumstance. I choose to trust You. I give You praise, honor and glory, now and always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Real Meaning of Christmas

A Christmas Poem by Joseph P. Martino Copyright© 2003

Two thousand years ago the King of Kings was born.

'The Lamb of God' later made to feel the thorn,

If his words are accepted and not scorned,

They will make us all reborn.

Though God's grace, Joseph and Mary presented

A gift to the world that day, which we can all repay,

by living the ten commandments each and every day.

Try to remember and keep in your heart and mind

Jesus's gospel while here on Earth,

Redemption not a life lived in constant mirth.

Peace on Earth, good will toward man

Everyone should try it, whenever they can.

The Lord gave us the option and choice of 'free will,'

Now it's up to us to fit the bill.

So when you’re Christmas shopping for family and friends,

and money is tight at both ends,

Remember that the greatest gift of all,

Is your love of Jesus in the manger stall.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed and Happy New Year.

Pastor Ken and Aminata

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Thy leaves are so unchanging;
Not only green when summer's here,
But also when 'tis cold and drear.

VERSE: Revelation 5: 5-6But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.” Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth.

THOUGTHS: Jesus Christ is pictured as both a Lion (symbolizing His authority and power) and a Lamb ( symbolizing His submission to God's Will). One of the elders calls John to look at the Lion, but when John looks he see's a Lamb. Christ the Lamb was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all. He defeated all the forces of evil by dying on the cross. The role of Christ the Lion will be to lead the battle when Satan is finally defeated (Revelation 19:19-21). Christ the Lion is victorious because of what Christ the Lamb has already done. We will participate in His victory, not because of our own effort or goodness, but because He has promised eternal life to all who believe in Him.

PRAYER: O Father, we love You and we thank You for sending us the Lion of Judah! We trust in Jesus Christ, and we are so in awe of Your Awesome power. Thank You for the precious Lamb of God who died on the cross to save us all. May we tell others of Christ's saving grace! And may we live victorious because of what Christ has already accomplished on the cross for us. In Jesus' Name, Amen..

VERSE: 1 John 5: 3-4Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

THOUGTHS: Jesus never promised that obeying Him would be easy. But the hard work and self-discipline of serving Christ is no burden to those who love Him. And if our load starts to feel heavy, we can always trust Christ to help us bear it.Matthew 11: 28-30 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

PRAYER: Father, Thank You for the privilege and honor of being called Your children. Thank You for allowing us to come into Your Presence and serve You with our lives. May everything that we say and do be pleasing to You, Dear Lord. We long to follow You and You alone. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

VERSE: “Therefore I tell you, her sins, many [as they are], are forgiven her—because she has loved much. But he who is forgiven little loves little” (Luke 7:47 AMP).

THOUGHTS: Did you know that forgiveness opens the door for love to operate in your life? This verse is talking about the story of the woman with the alabaster box of costly perfume. She was a notorious sinner in her day and when she saw Jesus, she fell at His feet and began washing them with her tears and drying them with her hair. When she received Christ’s forgiveness, love was the automatic response. She was forgiven of much and her love was extravagant. Do you want more love in your life? Do you want to feel more of God’s love and have stronger relationships with the people around you? Open your heart to forgiveness. Receive Christ’s forgiveness and extend it to others. When you are forgiven much, you will love much. And as Christ’s love flows through you, you will be empowered by His strength and live the abundant life He has in store for you!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for Your forgiveness which opens the door for Your love to flow through me. Help me to be Your light and Your example of love to those around me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

VERSE: I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2).

THOUGHTS: What are you looking at today? Are there challenges in your life to overcome? Don’t just look at your problems day in and day out, lift up your eyes and look toward heaven. You will naturally move in the direction that your eyes are looking.  If you are always looking at your problems—meditating on them, feeling sorry for yourself, telling everybody about them—you will become consumed by them. But when you look up, your life will start to move up. When you keep your eyes on Jesus, it is also a sign of your faith and expectancy. The Bible tells us that faith is what moves the hand of God. When you have an attitude of faith and expectancy, you open the door for His power in your life. Decide today to focus on the goodness of our God. Lift your eyes and heart to Him and begin to praise Him with your words. As you lift your eyes, your help will come, and you will live the victorious life He has in store for you!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, today I choose to lift my eyes to You. I will look to You for my help. Thank You for showing me Your salvation and deliverance. I bless You today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
